    Food and service were outstanding. A beautiful bar and surroundings. Only thing that let it down were the flickering bright lights directly above when sat at the benches against the wall. Very minor though and overall a gorgeous evening.

    Disappointing food quality for the prices paid. Fish pie with flakes of salmon and potato only. Ceasar salad with a little gem lettuce chopped in 4 pieces .

    Nice pub, service to begin with was great up until pudding. We then waited 25 mins and ended up asking to be served. We were recommended this pub and were told the fish pie was huge and definitely one to order. My husband did just that. Unfortunately he said although very tasty, very little fish and a small portion with a side of cabbage. My chicken was divine. Ladies toilets needed a clean.

    Joiners is a lovely welcoming eatery and staff are absolutely excellent, very friendly and work extremely hard. The food is delicious , with a wide range to choose from as well as the specials board. Food is hot and kitchen turns around orders in a good time. Only downside is service, an extra member of staff would have made all the difference

    Great steak frites ! Best cooked rump I’ve ever had. Sundae for dessert also very good. The venue had a really positive energy this evening and the place full of happy people celebrating Birthday/ weddings. Marcus’s waiting service was great, he really went all out looking after us this evening, thank you so much, we thoroughly enjoyed this evening’s dining! Love the Joiners and will be back soon 🤗

    This is normally our favourite place for Sunday Lunch. As it was my husband and a friend's birthday, we decided to travel the 60 mins drive to celebrate the birthdays. with Sunday Lunch. However, when I asked the manager if she would bring out the birthday cake from M&S, she refused saying there may be traces of nut in it so she could not have it in her kitchen but I could get it out on the table- a fair comment to which I couldn't object. Then I asked, if she had a candle I could use because I had forgot one, to which she said no, they didn't have any. I couldn't believe an establishment that big, which probably celebrates lots of birthdays wouldn't have a candle. I can appreciate they may have thought we wouldn't have bought dessert, if we brought our own cake but that was not the case. So to be honest we were a little disappointed from the outset. Lunch was enjoyable but the belly pork was not crisp like usual. We weren't raving over the Sunday Lunch like we normally do. So a little bit of a disappointment this time, which is a shame when it was two people's birthday and we had asked people to drive a long way.

    Unfortunately the food last night wasn’t up to scratch as usually served. The Fish Pie was half the size it usually comes, no seafood in it and a bowl of cabbage served to compensate for the half size Fish Pie. Far too expensive at £18.95. Sadly the Superfood Salad did not come with the ingredients it was advertised as, a small portion for £16, however , the Staff responded very positively and waived the charge for it. A one off disappointment won’t stop us returning. Atmosphere was lovely and relaxed again, but music needs to be better. 80’s tracks are rather dated. Thank you to the lovely Team working at The Joiners
