Located in the historical LeVeque Tower, The Keep Liquor Bar is a American brasserie and liquor bar. Both the dining room and bar pay homage to the old while ushering in a modern, and unique, food and beverage program. The bar is open daily and offers guests a comforting space to relax and lounge over a raw bar, drinking nibbles, and shareable options. The state of the art beverage program ranges from regional craft beers, specialty cocktails, a serious whiskey selection and a top-notch by the glass or bottle wine program. The talented culinary team serves culturally inspired cooking utilizing local ingredients with a modern twist. Reservations are set with a 90 minute time limit.

I ordered the pear cocktail and the steak frites with a side of cheesy grits and everything was so delicious! My server was also so kind. I would definitely come back!

I am unable to rate the food, as we never received our order. I booked a 6pm reservation before an 8pm show next door, thinking that would give enough time to eat and head over. After about 30 minutes, we got a new server, which was the first red flag. Then, around 7:10-7:15, we were told that our food order was never put in, and that we may not be getting the burger or brussel sprouts that we ordered. Also, one of the items ordered was a Caesar salad (with no grill items added) and we also never got that. I have never had a restaurant tell me that I may not be receiving food that I ordered. We were also told that a manager would be coming over to our table multiple times, which never happened. We were never able to talk to a manger and had to leave to go to our show without eating. Truly one of the most bizarre experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant.

We waited 30 minutes for drinks and 1 hour for food that never showed up nearly causing us to miss our show.

Disappointing. We were a party of four with a 5:30 reservation. We were going to the Palace for a 7:00 event. We received water and placed a drink order at 5:30 as we arrived a few minutes early. At 6:07 the drinks hadn’t arrived and we were told they were coming as we placed our food order. I had gone up to the hostess stand to complain about the service. Someone came by with someone else’s drinks and said he’d be back. He returned to say drinks were on him but he couldn’t decipher what the waiter had written. We reordered. 6:15 we had drinks and about 6:30 the food arrived. We ate, paid bill with drinks still on it as no time to waste to get drinks removed and make show. The food was good. Understaffed? Another couple next to us said they had waited an hour and were leaving because no dinner had arrived. We’ve been a few times. Had had good experiences-we’d taken a couple that had never been. Neither of us likely to return.

The service was very slow. With the imited menu that they have, not sure why it was slow. The grilled chicken on my salad was warm, not hot.

Incredible experience! My husband and I went for an anniversary dinner and we were so impressed. We started with a cocktail at the bar; we had the Salty Dog and the Bee Sting. Well made and better than we expected, given that we are not big cocktail drinkers. Our reservation was at 5:00 and we were seated quickly. The atmosphere is great- not too dim, comfortable booths, marble tables, gas lights on the walls, and there is seating around the chefs’ station so you can see them and their creations. Not a busy Sunday, so it was quiet. Our server, Eduardo, was attentive and helpful in making decisions on what to order. We decided to get several appetizers to share and skipped entrees. More than enough food! Caesar salad was light and fresh, Gouda Mac was creamy, the Brussels sprouts were the best ever (fried and with hot honey, feta, bacon), and the charcuterie platter was incredible. Overall, we felt like we were treated specially for our anniversary, adding to the wonderful night. Can’t wait to go back!

So close to The Palace Theatre! Reservation for 5:15 was great for 8:00 performance. Busier after 5:30. Food was great. They even had a rye gluten free bread for my burger. Service was great.

The French burger as part of Burger and Beer was delicious! It was the perfect size dinner with the French fries. My little brother and I both enjoyed it!
