The Kings Arms lies deep in the heart of the East Devon countryside. We’re surrounded by wonderful local farmers and growers, and we aim to make the most of this by using locally-produced ingredients whenever possible. Our meat is sourced from our nearby family farm, and most of our fish is supplied by our very own fleet of fishing boats.

Here at the Kings Arms, we serve a varied, locally-sourced menu, with breakfast, lunch and dinner all available in the bar, conservatory and outdoor terraces. We will happily accommodate different dietary requirements, with friendly and informal table service wherever you choose to sit.

    We booked a Carvery. They stopped serving Carvery more than 5 years ago. Therefore we ordered a large beef and a large chicken with Veg. The only difference was the size of the plate and the price. Resolved upon paying. Not our first visit. Food quality has always been excellent. We will return, but not for the large roast.

    I ordered a roast beef. There was some tough fatty bits and gravy was poured over it all. I prefer gravy to be on the side.

    The food was exceptional (although I would have liked a larger salad!) The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We'd definitely like to come back again soon.

    Didn’t get our food for an hour. Chips were awful. Standard food. Staff very good and lovely atmosphere

    The service was efficient, we needed a table in yhr corner to accommodate the dog, which was quickly provided. The food was good and served swiftly. Value for money excellent..would definitely visit again.

    First time visiting the Kings Arms and we will definitely be returning. The Sunday roast was amazing and we had plenty of food. The staff were so friendly, and moved us to a quieter table without us asking. Very relaxed and friendly environment, perfect for a cosy Sunday after a walk on the beach. Highly recommend for both a small group and large.

    We were a family group of six. It was a nice Xmas feeling with the people around us. The food was just ok, some of the group enjoyed all the courses but majority thought it was very average for the money we paid. Service was very good, servers were cheerful and obliging. We did enjoy ourselves and there was plenty to eat. Was it value for money ? Not sure but you have to pay a lot extra when people work on Xmas day.
