The stately looking former manor house, is set back from the road in acres of grounds surrounded by the beautiful Norfolk countryside. Our Restaurant offers an unforgettable dinning experience alongside a traditional bar and large garden area. Our Head Chef's seasonal menu draws on the rich Norfolk larder of produce, much of it sourced on the doorstep, like Brancaster molluscs and local farm reared meats using innovative and modern cooking techniques. During the summer holidays the outside bar and kitchen is in full swing from noon til late. The pub warmly welcomes families and children have their own menu and the safe, enclosed garden and play area is perfect for youngsters to let off steam. The 4 guest bedrooms offer stylish relaxing ensuite accommodation, perfect for a special getaway, overnight stay or weekend break (dog friendly).

Very expensive. I hate knocking business but the food was average. Location and intereriors lovely. Staff friendly and polite. Would I return? Probably not.

Good atmosphere, friendly attentive staff. The fish was cooked beautifully as too was the samphire however minor issue the cauliflower had brown bits on it and was undercooked. The Affogato was delicious, zero Guinness on tap. Great restaurant.

The Sunday Roast was done to perfection. The beef was succulent, the Yorkshire light and crispy and the roasted veg was perfect. In addition the team were really attentive. Thank you for a great lunch!

Once again we left saying"that was the best meal I have enjoyed for a long time" The staff were smart and friendly as always. We shall be back soon.

Great pub, back again and they didn’t have our favourite burgers on the NYE menu but the fantastic chef managed to rustle them up to their usual delicious standard!! Have to mention the fries!!!!!🤤 Great service, so friendly and helpful

We booked two rooms to spend New Years Eve. It was perfect from start to finish. From Jenga and drinks in the bar - to a fantastic first class three course dinner. The staff were lovely - friendly and professional. Breakfast was also amazing. We have visited for food before and never been disappointed. It was such a treat to stay overnight - and the rooms are lovely and cosy. Highly recommend.

Food was very mediocre - I had mushroom risotto which didn’t have much flavour, same for the burger apparently. Steak was chewy but the mussels were very good as was the smoke mackerel pate and carrot and coriander soup.
