Very quiet when we visited but staff friendly and provided good service. The food was mixed. My friend thoroughly enjoyed her haggis bonbons in peppercorn corn, I’m afraid the liver and onions with black pudding mash was disappointing. We were offered a complimentary dessert which was appreciated. Not quite at the usual high standard today for me.

Lucky to get same day booking for four for Sunday Lunch. Service was fabulous, staff extremely attentive and friendly. Sunday lunch was very good, all opted for beef which was plentiful and beautifully tender. Vegetables all freshly prepared, and well cooked. Huge Yorkshire pudding and extra gravy served on request Deserts absolutely huge and all gorgeous . Could not fault it at all. Very good value for two courses. Will definitely return.

Fantastic find!!! Found this pub on out wsy to alnwick Lovely pub very welcolming friendly staff and food was amazing!!! Definately worth a visit

There were 5 of us eating on a Saturday evening and although a limited menu we all chose something different and each was well pleased with their choice.The service was excellent .We will be going there again.
