The Maraboon Tavern is a favourite amongst locals and visitors to Emerald: a pub where everyone feels like a local. It’s a comfortable place where you can gather with friends and family to enjoy a relaxing drink and a tasty pub meal, as well as catch some sports or live music.

The Maraboon combines bar, restaurant, and function facilities with the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of a traditional pub. We pride ourselves on serving great food with service and atmosphere to match.

Told to get my own glasses at the end of the bar. Refused to do 6 lemonades, stated we needed jug instead! Not what we asked for. If i wanted to get my own glasses, and pour my kids drinks all evening, i may as well eat at home! Disgusting, absolutely revolting chicken snitzel served. Poor service. Wouldnt recommend at all! Ask 3 times to speak to the manager, and i still dont believe we did. We wont be back!

Waited 5 minutes for someone to even come to the front to show us to our table. They had put the wrong amount of people on for a table to begin with. Then when the food came out my daughter’s fish and chips were disgusting. Her chips were soggy and her fish was really gamey. Then when I got my steak, chips and salad my steak was well under medium rare and no one would take me seriously when I asked to take it back to be cooked more. My salad also tasted and smelt off REALLY BADLY

Nice ambiance but don’t expect an entree before a meal, as our cold king prawns came with the hot main meal!

Didn’t impress our overseas visitors, private function was not closed off…..meals slow and special board meal way too expensive for the price😔

Recommend ordering early to save the wait time. New menu was good. Plenty of variety on offer and all our dishes were good.

Pretty good but the three meals came out separately hence the first person's meal was finished before the last person started to eat. I quess it's an indication of being busy and popular.

Paid $110 for a meat platter that said it feeds 2-3 people that 2 of us ate & $32 for a Chicken Parmi. $142 to feed 3 people. We were seated next to the bar that only had 2 staff on so the line up for drinks was constantly long directly beside us so we had to endure random conversations of strangers while i tried to eat with my family in peace. Which actually astonishes me given it cost $30 for 2 schooners of Hard Solo & 1 can of Coke N/S. Went back for a further 2 schooners of Ginger beer for $25. $197 to feed a family of 3 & 2 drinks.

It was amazing even though our food took a little while to be prepared that was expected and their was plenty to do whilst we waited.
