WELCOME TO THE MULE.

We’re not your traditional Mexican place. We just happen to think that tacos are a dish best served fun, with a side of liquor. Welcome to The Mule, where tacos, tequila and bourbon come to play.

Located in one of Cambridge's most treasured spaces, we think we’ll be your new favourite lunch spot, your regular late-night haunt and your go-to destination for a good drink. Our bartenders have crafted a bourbon- and tequila-focused cocktail menu that will surprise and fascinate, and we also have a variety of beers on tap.

And don’t forget the food. From baja wings to Brussels Sprouts tacos, chef Matthew Kershaw’s menu offers an approachable and fresh twist on your favourite flavours from way down south. Our tacos range from classic Mexican to weird-and-wild-you’ve-gotta-try-this. All of our food is 100% gluten-free and we offer a variety of fare that is sure to delight your vegetarian and vegan side.

Best 100% gluten free restaurant in the region. Hands down. And no. You absolutely will not be able to tell anything is "missing" at all, even if you are used to eating everything with an extra helping of gluten topped with MSG normally (like me 😅) ...... The food is all fantastic. If delicious "street" tacos, tequila, and margaritas are your kind of thing you owe it to yourself to check this place out. Definitely not "cheap", but as they say, you get what you pay for in life, and this place is worth the prices.

Awesome. Cocktails and Tacos. What’s not to like? Place is a little utilitarian… but it is what it needs to be. Hip funky, filled with people who like to chill. The ‘Aye! Carumba’ is the best cocktail I’ve had in recent memory. Just go, relax and wear your jeans!

Went for brunch...food was absolutely delicious...appetizer was guacamole and chips, meal was fried chicken and waffle...so flavorful with just enough of a kick with a touch of sweetness...Emily is amazing and friendly as always! Atmosphere was warm and inviting...I always love coming here

Food and drinks were all great. Sleeper hits: get the bean dip and the salsa- so good!! Service was good and even though it’s a smaller space the restaurant doesn’t feel cramped at all.

As usual, amazing service and food. My go to place to take friends/family from our of town. This time was an early Galentine's Day dinner out. So much fun!

Average at best. The lady at the hostess stand was rude, so that started the experience off not great. Sat down with a reservation, at a small noisy table despite asking for a booth in my reservation. Was told the last both would hold another reservation coming in after us but no one came in. Read reservation notes. The service was slow and portions way too tiny for the cost. Cool concept.

Another outstanding evening at The Mule, Calamari was tender and very tasty, tacos were creative, fresh and flavourful. The key lime cheesecake was awesome. Love that everything is gluten free and you would never know it. Fabulous tasty creative food. Thank you!!
