The Nash, a Modern American restaurant and bar, offers diners a dynamic yet laid-back style, serving lunch, happy hour and dinner in the heart of downtown. Led by General Manager Timothy Contreras & James Beard Awarded Chef Tom Cunanan, the handsome space is located in the historic Star formerly known as the Texaco Building, that features an impressive floor to ceiling bar and open kitchen.               Spiced rack of lamb, roasted tomato coulis, green rice, roasted cauliflower

              • Chicken Picatta

                Wild mushrooms, dark poultry jus, mashed potato and grilled asparagus

                • Seafood Pasta

                  Homemade linguine topped with fresh scallops, shrimp and mussels tossed in a slightly spicy red sauce.

                  Third Course

                  • Dark Chocolate Mousse

                    Dark chocolate mousse served with whipped cream and seasonal berries

                    • Red Velvet Cake

                      Vanilla white cake with 100% real cocoa and house made cream cheese frosting

                        Baked custard dessert that is silky smooth, light and creamy

                          Food was good. Our dish was missing the mashed potatoes and with the price of a set dinner for Valentine’s Day was slightly frustrated. Was not expecting a set meal, and with no information of price the bill was quite a shock. However one of the best Old Fashion and Moscow mule we have ever had.

                          Food was great. Redfish and salmon. Highly recommend both. Salads and apps were great. Drinks were delicious. Downside. No ambiance to speak of. Bright. Loud. Sports on the TVs. Service was slow in general. Tuff call, go for the food and drink, just not on date night.

                          Maybe it was just a bad night but i won’t return. The online menu they don’t seem to have the items actually in the restaurant. Asked for the spring rolls and the spritzer both on the menu and both not available. I was told it has to be old items. Then we ordered appetizers and pizza. Waitress came back after a while and said there was no more pizza available… we were stunned so we ordered appetizers the calamari was fried to a crisp like burnt. Food was lukewarm. Highlights was the steak tartare and the shrimp pasta but I won’t be back. My friends and i were highly disappointed. And the service was subpar.

                          This restaurant is just a short 10 minute walk to Hobby Theater and definitely worth a visit. The food was very good. We cannot wait to go back !

                          Food and ambience was good. Wait and service staff were great. Nothing outstanding that would make me want to go back for a dinner. Lunch may be their sweat spot?

We are glad you enjoyed the food and service but are disappointed to hear we wouldn't be a dinner destination, but we hope to see you again sometime for lunch.                           This might have been the best lamb chop dinner I've ever had! And with the curry sauce & amazing rice w/ cauliflower, it was just outstanding! Can't wait to go back!!

                          The service was wonderful! They were considerate of our need to make our concert on time. Recommend for pre-theater meal. Grace is a true asset.
