Fire led modern European cooking, served in a warm vibrant dining room.

Reservations open on the 1st of each month for the following month, for groups up to 6 guests. Bookings for January will open on the 1st of December at 10am. For larger groups please email bookings@theparakeetpub.com. We serve our A la Carte menu Monday to Saturday, and Roasts on Sundays.

My 3rd time at the parakeet and as each time before it we had a lovely meal with gorgeous lighting and great service. Sea bream was excellent as were the lamb chops… I mean it was all excellent but those 2 in particular stuck out. The place is a bit of a hidden gem.

Absolutely loved it! 8 of us went to celebrate our son's 13th birthday - 4 adults, 4 kids. Food was spectacular. Service was attentive, accommodating and friendly. Ambience just gorgeous - the venue is beautiful. Couldn't fault it. Thank you. We'll be back.

This was my second visit to The Parakeet after a wonderful meal in the summer, and it was even better than before, this time bringing the rest of my family for my mum’s birthday. Every dish was absolutely delicious (incredible venison, XO poussin and of course that chocolate mousse), and the atmosphere and ambience in the dining room was inviting and designed with charm and style. The Parakeet have nailed the perfect level of service and all the members of staff were knowledgeable, friendly and a benchmark of what excellent hospitality is. Thank you!

My first time dining at the parakeet Really lovely building and split pub restaurant is very cool! Staff are very welcoming and attentive Took a friend to celebrate her 40th birthday and it did not disappoint Small sharing plates and then a main Every dish was clever executed and the flavours were immense 4 small plates, 1 main, 1 side and a good bottle of red fine and was £121 Very very good value for money and I will be returning 100%

They are very very busy so the turn time is quite sharp. Would have loved a little more time for starters, makes and desserts on a Sunday. (We didn’t have time for desserts as had to move out) But also I guess that’s the vibe - it’s so busy you are lucky to be there etc xxx food v v good and staff lovely

We had a very unfortunate experience at The Parakeet on Saturday night. I had booked this months ago as a treat for my partner's birthday which was on Saturday. We booked a babysit as it was a special occassion and we rarely get to go out now we've got kids. We were really enjoying our meal when, just as we started our main course, the lights went out and there was a power cut. The dining room filled with smoke as the extractor fan wasn't working. We continued to eat in the dark using our phone torches to see our food (our candle had gone out). Eventually, after about 15 minutes the manager asked us to evacuate the restaurant so we went onto the street with our drinks and waited to find out what was happening. A waiter came over with the card machine and asked us to pay for what we'd had which we did. It came to £157.50 which is a lot of money. He didn't reduce the bill at all and included service even though we ate our mains in the dark in a smokey room with no music and drank our wine on the pavement. Most other tables had just run off without paying. We spoke to the manager who said he would get in touch with us but so far we've not heard anything. Complete with our babysitter costs we've spent £220 on the evening which turned out to be a disaster. I have a friend who owns a similar restaurant and she was very shocked. She said at her restaurant no one would have been asked to pay and they would've apologised profusely. We paid the whole bill including service and have heard nothing.

An exceptional experience in every way. Spectacularly delicious food. Wonderful atmosphere/vibe. Excellent service. A great lunch. I highly recommend The Parakeet.
