Curated by Aaron Taylor, Atlas Restaurant Group’s Corporate Chef & Chef Partner in this concept, the menu puts steak in the spotlight with over 11 cuts from Chicago-based meat purveyor Meats by Linz. The Ruxton will serve a mix of wet and dry aged prime cuts of Black Angus Beef, as well as dry aging Long Island Duck and Bison from Virginia’s New Frontier Farm in-house. To complement the steak options, seasonal shellfish and seafood entrees will be available including dover sole, Maryland rockfish, whole live lobster, king salmon, Chilean sea bass and more.

    Service was a little lack luster for such a nice restaurant. I made a reservation more than three weeks in advance and was sat right next to the door so it was a noisy spot with people constantly walking by. Our server was only suggesting the most expensive items on the menu and was not very friendly. For food, the Wagyu Sliders were fantastic, but the Caviar and Tater Tots were a little overrated. I got the Horseradish Garlic Crusted Filet and Mac and Cheese which was delicious. Overall, the food was good, but the overall experience is not worth the price you are paying.

    So we got there a little earlier than expected for our reservation due to a giant wind/rain storm. We decided to grab a drink at the bar while we waited for our reservation time. I got an Elmer T Lee with a large cube and my wife got an espresso martini. The espresso martini did not fill the glass which was odd and it was overly boozey tasting. But the real issue I had with the bar was the bill. They automatically added 20% gratuity to a bar bill which is completely unacceptable. I worked in the industry when I was younger and was even a bar tender. She made a single drink, which was the espresso martini, and then poured whiskey, which I had to show her where it was, into a glass for a $9.00 tip. She received a %5.00 dollar tip alone from pouring a single whiskey. This is unacceptable. Every reasonable person knows you do not get tipped on the whiskey pours and the beer/wine pours. Its perfectly acceptable to add a dollar for each of those drinks. Honestly when you add automatic 20% gratuity to anything, youre essentially adding a tariff to the entire menu. Every single item on the menu is incorrect, because you added a 20% tax on every single item you should have two prices on the menu next to the item. Now we went ahead and continued to dinner. The appetizer was the hashbrowns and cavier which was delicious, perfectly portioned. The Lobster Bisque soup was very good and had some interesting flavors. My wife got the 6oz filet and it was cooked perfectly, I had the duck breast and it was also delicious. We went with the mac and cheese, which was nicely portioned for the price and extremely creamy. Perfect for two people to split. Then as our bill was coming out the server warned us it included 20% gratuity which was appreciated. She informed us we could change it if we wished. I really wished the bar tender would have done the same.

    This place does not disappoint. The food was amazing per usual. The service is and has always been top notch. We continue to come back because we continue to have an amazing experience. We highly recommend any and everyone to come out and enjoy. We truly love coming. Thank you all for serving us and giving us an amazing experience time and time again.

    Great experience! My favorites of the night were my Cowboy Ribeye with truffle butter, lobster Mac and the butter cake!

    This was our first time at The Ruxton. We were there to celebrate my birthday! Chrf's kiss from the service, food, atmosphere, to the location! We will be back for sure!

    20/10! Even with it being a holiday they made sure to accommodate us to the fullest. I didn't feel rushed either. The food was cooked to perfection, the drinks were fresh and the butter cake was heaven sent! I can't wait to go back. A wonderful way to spend my birthday.

    The wait wasn’t long for it to Valentine’s Day but when we was seated they sit us in the corner of the restaurant in the back like it was the last sit the place making it just feel like we wasn’t in the atmosphere to the restaurant … so the experience felt like to us as a down grade in our book …

    Our server Eli was phenomenal. It goes to show you that’s it people moreso than the environment. The restaurant is beautiful. Fun excellent. But Eli and her personality, her smile was infectious. She should be complemented.

    It was a very nice place. But it was very cold in there and I never received my second ginger ale I ordered. And we place a dessert order butter cake to go and brownie to eat there. They bothe came out to go, the waiter said sorry I input in wrong and processed to walk away. We had to find someone else to take the order back and bring was a warm order so we could enjoy the experience. Other than that the food was good.
