Situated in the idyllic village of Shilton, in the heart of the Cotswolds, The Rose & Crown is the
'perfect English country pub', serving exceptional food in our bar and dining room and a beautiful sunny beer garden. Join for snacks Tuesday – Saturday, with the full food menu available at lunch and dinner Wednesday – Sunday, including roasts with all the trimmings on Sunday afternoons.

First visit and will definitely be back ! A great cosy country pub with ambience great food atmosphere and service.Nothing too much for Matt and his staff to help you with throughout our visit. You are made so welcome , running late we called to tell them but got reassured to don’t panic and come. We didn’t want to leave but had a 70 minute drive home but will be back Matt !

Warm hospitality with a welcoming, cozy ambience. The T-Bone steak was fabulous - tasty & tender along with all the accompaniments. A Veggie roast (not on the menu) shows just how flexible Matt & Yvonne are in catering for all tastes. The food and service here never disappoints. Absolutely first class.

A fantastic meal and a super friendly atmosphere. I couldn’t recommend more highly. Will definitely return if back in the area.

The Osso Buco is a must-try—rich and tender, paired with a creamy, flavorful risotto that’s the perfect comfort food. The Cote de Boeuf is equally outstanding: a generously portioned, perfectly cooked cut of beef, juicy and full of flavor, accompanied by delicious sides that complement it beautifully. A wonderful evening at the Shilton Rose & Crown. The food was amazing (lamb shank and lobster bisque risotto). The staff were lovely and very attentive and the beer was excellent. Can’t fault it!

Really nice place. The chap hosting was really friendly and attentive, service was good…food took a little while to come but was cooked fresh and was extremely tasty. A little luxury at lunch time. Highly recommend it. Maybe a little light on children’s options but it didn’t matter because the host gave us some options that worked for us.
