Popped in for a main meal to break a long journey. Lovely pub with friendly staff and locals.

A fantastic pub with the most friendly staff! Everyone is warm and welcoming and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and looked after. The food is OUTSTANDING with a great choice of classic favourites!

It was like no one was listening to what we were ordering Firstly Coke with no ice.. it came with ice Roast chicken with no green cabbage It came with 9 roast potatoes and no vegetables at all. No parsnips or bread sauce just chicken and potatoes! I explained what I ordered and what I didn’t like and they came out with a bowl of cabbage and carrots! They went back and then I got carrots and green beans. I never did get parsnips and I gave up A Dessert was them ordered. We asked for 1 apple crumble with custard They bought us 2 apple crumbles with ice cream! It is quite disappointing when so many things are wrong with the service and it really comes down to listening to what people say. Food was good and it won’t put me off coming back though

Lovely pub with conservatory-style restaurant at the rear. Excellent, friendly and attentive staff. Food choice was varied and very good quality. Timothy Taylor mild was a very nice tipple to accompany our lunch. All-in-all and thoroughly good meal out and one that we will repeat soon!

We visited on a Friday night and we were the only ones in the restaurant. The service was good but the food wasn't worth the money.

It was our first visit to the Squirrel to celebrate a 40th Anniversary and we were not disappointed. It will not be our last, as we were made very welcome and the food and service were very good.

Service was great- we had a lovely meal. A few things were off the menu but we were quite late on a Sunday sitting so thisxwas understandable. Vert attentive and the kids loved the garden
