And absolutely amazing spot that will earn our business again. Service was great, and prices were reasonable. We were able to stay at a room at the inn, and it was a short walk over. Allnof the food is house made, all the way down to the sauces. We did the valentines preselect dinner of surf and turf, with tomato bisque and cheesecake for dessert.

Wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner. Everything was perfect. Great dinner and great service made for a wonderful evening.

Wonderful dinner to close out 2024. Lamb chops and filet were seasoned and cooked perfectly. Best risotto and Brussels and the beet salad had a perfect dressing to compliment the flavor of the beets. A hidden gem for sure.

A lovely evening out. We had the house-breaded mushrooms as an app; they were excellent. My husband had the beet salad; it was okay, could have been better if the nuts had been toasted and the kale actually massaged as the menu stated (it was still really firm). Entrees: chicken schnitzel and braised beef goulash. Both very good. A couple of beers and glasses of wine, no room for dessert! Service was efficient and pleasant without being intrusive. We look forward to another visit.

We were visiting The Homestead with friends and wanted to venture out to experience something off property. Two restaurants were mentioned of particular note with The Tavern being the one we chose. Great choices and options on the menu, excellent bar selection, great ambience of old courthouse building, service was friendly and attentive and the food was so delicious!! We had the Goulash and Chicken Schnitzel, along with Gnocchi and Smazak as apps. We highly recommend and look forward to visiting again!

Love dining at this quaint Inn and Restaurant....most times. Had an experience which compelled me to write this review. The restaurant was not busy (midweek evening), and the service was far below average. Asked for a seasonal drink special we enjoyed last year, response - this is what we have this year. Ask for good glass of cabernet, response - we only have one. Requested the wedge salad be chopped in kitchen, response - we don't do that here. Even substituting out a vegetable on plate setup with another vegetable (sorry but don't do brussels sprouts!), was charge a $3 'substitution fee'. Food is always very good, just a poor service experience tends to damper the entire meal.

Delicious! Beautiful ambiance for the holidays. Friendly service. The steak, salmon & trout were prepared to perfection. ;)
