   Second time been for a Sunday roast now and both times excellent! Incredible cauliflower cheese! All food cooked well and hot, can’t wait to book again

   I didn't really know what to expect, but it was really cosy with warm lighting, nice temperature inside, speedy with the food, and really good service from the staff. The food was genuinely delicious, and would 100% love to return with friends and family to introduce them to the new place we'd found. However... Sadly, there was some blue plastic mesh inside of the pie I ordered. Thankfully (depending on how you look at it) I only came across it towards the point of finishing my meal. Though it did put me off so I left the last bit. Which was a shame because the pie was overall seriously good. I honestly didn't want to make a fuss or anything because everything was brilliant aside from this, so I told the waitress and she simply said, "sorry about that." And that was that. We waited about 5 minutes to finish our drinks, but nobody came back over or formal apologies given. So we paid and left.

   We visited last night for the first time for my partners birthday and had a wonderful time. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was flawless with generous portions. We will definitely be back and will recommend to friends and family. 10/10

   Lovely food, well presented by delightful staff. Would highly recommend Traveller's Rest for good food at reasonable prices.

   Great little restaurant! The food was amazing and the staff were lovely. Unfortunately the amount of time it took to order and for the food to come spoilt it a little bit.

   Great service, the staff really are very pleasant. Food great. Menu caters for the hungry customer but have small bites, that is tremendous value. £12 for a drink and a good choice of smaller meals.

   Food, as always, excellent. 3 salads were very, very good. Lasagne excellent. Try coffee & mini pudding option- great value. It was nice to see the pub a bit busier than usual, one girl serving was so nice, really pleasant. She was a little rushed off her feet at times but coped admirably. 5* for her!

   We had a lovely relaxed meal in a friendly pleasant atmosphere I did comment to my husband how happy the staff looked working together and the food was amazing , a bit of a drive god us but we wil definitely be returning

    Quite simply one of the best pub/restaurants around. Service terrific, always very friendly. Food very, very good - amazing value. Lunch menu is excellent especially the mini menu at £12. Highly recommended 👌 👍
