The Union Bank—affectionately known as "The UB" to locals—is a unique dining destination in the heart of Orange. With its rich heritage charm, it offers a variety of spaces to explore and enjoy.

At the Schoolhouse Restaurant, our flagship dining space, we take all bookings. If you prefer a more relaxed vibe, our stunning courtyard connects all areas and offers the perfect casual setting. While we don’t take bookings for the courtyard, you’re welcome to request it in your booking notes, and if the weather cooperates, we’ll be happy to seat you outside!

For group dining, The UB offers several private spaces, ideal for gatherings of 8 to 40 people. Whether you're hosting a business meeting or celebrating a special occasion, we have the perfect setting for you.

Such a wonderful place. Generous portions of delicious food. Super friendly staff and great service. I sat outside in the courtyard which was wonderfully atmospheric.

Excellent food, wine not as good value. Food delivered promptly. We are outside which was very pleasant. Music was a little loud and distracting. Why have it at all?

We had a beautiful dinner. Eyes bigger than our stomachs but ordering a variety was well worth being able to taste so many delicious dishes. The service was exceptional!

We had a table of 8 for lunch today. The quality of the food was excellent, the setting under the trees was very good and the staff were very efficient and obliging. Were all very happy with everything.

Usually we would give union bank a 5 out of 5, but last night it wasn’t quite up to its usual standard. The staff were a little sloppy, the music was loud and couldn’t hear the person just across from you speak. The food was good but the farmer doug scallops were awful this time (usually a favourite of ours) over cooked on the outside and very oily and then not cooked inside. So last night for Valentine’s Day it was a 3 for us which is sad as usual it’s always been a 5 star experience.
