Welcome to The Warren Restaurant, an extension of The Crowborough Estate, holding stock of Sussex Cattle, Boer Goats, Fallow deer, and Wild boar amongst others which the restaurant draws on for its menu. We are a Dog Friendly restaurant.

Given the provenance, the kitchen predominantly cooks British food, occasionally dipping into other cuisines to provide a vehicle for flavours – nettle gnocchi for example, or poached oyster with wild boar chorizo.

WE wanted a unique fun and informal restaurant, to offer their Crowborough Estate’s produce from. When the site of the renowned Signor Franco’s became available, with those iconic arched windows of its orangery and glorious terrace overlooking the Spa town, the stage was set.

Been to this restaurant a few times, and unfortunately this was not the best experience. Food was ok, although the menu choices were more limited than previous visits. Service wasn’t very good this time. No one took a drinks order, and we had to wait till we ordered starters to order drinks. No one asked us if we wanted dessert, so we didn’t bother. I would have had they been more attentive. Disappointing.

Food was extremely bland, waitress’s didn’t know what was in any of the dishes, no drinks menu other than a wine list apparently and was rude. Was asked what we ordered for desert three times including original order. Was given £30 off the bill which was a a decent gesture even though I didn’t feel like paying at all. It was my girlfriends birthday meal and ruined the mood of the night. Tbh you will receive better service from a Weatherspoons .

Food was really good, using local flavoursome produce. The service was also very good (we arrived early and they managed to accommodate us.) They gave use free olives and a set menu price for items that weren’t included, which was very generous of them. On the downside though, the furniture wasn’t great and the chairs weren’t comfortable. Due to the heat and the large glass windows, it’s was very hot. The decor needs updating!

Super ambience. Tables nicely spaced apart. Service was excellent and not intrusive. Lovely menu. Just a few choices as it is all freshly cooked. Food was also excellent. So lovely to be in a restaurant where you can have a conversation and not be drowned out by other people’s noise.

Lovely place, delicious food with friendly and attentive service. Regardless if going as a family, date night or a special occasion this restaurant is a great choice and never disappoints.

Beautiful venue for my 50th birthday. British classic menu. Service was a little slow especially considering it wasn’t very busy.

We had the set lunch and the choices and food was really lovely. Great value for beautifully prepared dishes. We were sat in the Orangerie which is the most delightful, light-filled space. And best of all? Our sweet dogs were welcome which was a delightful surprise. I highly recommend
