Welcome to The Warren Restaurant, an extension of The Crowborough Estate, holding stock of Sussex Cattle, Boer Goats, Fallow deer, and Wild boar amongst others which the restaurant draws on for its menu. We are a Dog Friendly restaurant.

Given the provenance, the kitchen predominantly cooks British food, occasionally dipping into other cuisines to provide a vehicle for flavours – nettle gnocchi for example, or poached oyster with wild boar chorizo.

WE wanted a unique fun and informal restaurant, to offer their Crowborough Estate’s produce from. When the site of the renowned Signor Franco’s became available, with those iconic arched windows of its orangery and glorious terrace overlooking the Spa town, the stage was set.

Extremely disappointing. Deeply average food at way above average prices, dire table in a damp corner (despite booking six weeks ago) with lack lustre service. I had mushrooms and egg as a starter - it was served with an overcooked fried egg. We asked for some gluten free bread for one person- they got a plate of dried up sliced loaf. Four people had venison as a main - it was dry and tastless. Two of us had seabass, which was overcooked. At over £400 for six of us (excluding wine), it was truly shocking. We'd been meaning to go to the Warren for a while. We will not be back.

We enjoy coming to this restaurant and have been several times before. We were seated in the smaller room this time which was fine but didn’t have the ambience of the larger rooms. There was a larger birthday party going on which I feel detracted from our service - our plates took a long while to clear at the end of eating. I also asked for a special mention for my friend as it was her 50th birthday when I booked but this didn’t happen. Having said this the food was delicious and the staff very polite.

A large group arrived and they thought it must be a bar, so stood around their table trying to out do each other with loudness. Ruined the evening for others. The staff should have made them sit down! We left with out ordering sweet as it was too loud!!

We had the beef Wellington with gratin potatoes and vegetables. The meal was excellent.

Easily the best steak I’ve ever had! Amazing flavors, top-notch service, and totally worth it. Highly recommend checking this place out!

Fantastic! Lovely setting, great atmosphere and service. The roast sirloin was beautiful and Yorkshire pudding is the best! Overall a lovely occasion!
