The Elizabeth Room, which adjoins the Waterfront, has immediate views over Elizabeth Marina, and offers a discreet private dining area for up to 80 people which can also be broken down into two smaller sections for smaller parties. The room is divided by a tinted glass screen which allows your guests to enjoy the restaurant atmosphere with the additional exclusivity and privacy of your own dedicated room and terrace area.

Having booked for 10:15- we were required to wait whilst residents were provided with the available tables- only taken to our table at 10:35 A lot of items were not available as breakfast service finished at 11:00- waited to order an omelette and fried eggs( only scrambled available on buffet but container empty!!) Had to wait until 10:51 for these items which made the leisurely breakfast a joke Didn’t even bother ordering the American pancakes as we were too late!!

The set menu was limited. When booking it didn't say that it was a set menu. The a la Carter was displayed online e at time of booking which is why we booked. On arrival we were only offered the set. One waitress said that's all there was. But when we were paying g the bill we were told we could of had meals from the bar menu. The set although limited was good, slightly cold. Main needed more sauce. Bit dissappointing.

No menu - you have to go up and look/open things to find out what's in them Starters okay Roast potatoes diabolical!!! teach chef how to do roasties - rest of main course okay but not enough veg as it hadn't been noticed that bowl was empty Have to guess what desserts are

Enjoyed our meal tasty and hot. Service efficient food arrived quickly restaurant clean but could do with an update. The second time we have visited this month it has been cold in the restaurant. Would visit again very convenient if you are going to see a film.

Shocking experience from the very outset staff who argue you have no booking despite showing your confirmation. Wrong drinks served cold fold. A buffet service with nothing whatsoever labelled as to what it was or supposed to be. Cold coffee but only a cup filled a third full. Sitting in the lobby for an hour post lunch all I heard and witnessed were many dissatisfied customers. Possibly the worst Sunday lunch ever

The food cannot be faulted. It was lovely and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The restaurant was not full and the service was quick. The main lobby of the hotel had a singer who was amped up, and we found the music rather intrusive. However, we would go back, probably when it is possible to enjoy the outside view of the sea

When I accessed the menu for The Waterfront through Open Table it showed an a la cartel menu choice. However when we dined there we were informed that no a la carte menu had been available for two months. The current menu choice was poor and not what we expected. Service levels were awful - couldn’t care less attitude. Ordered drinks and still hadn’t arrived when our first course was served. Had to twice ask for water. Serving staff need customer service training. Would not dine there again.

We booked the meal for our wedding Anniversary as we were also staying there. We were stood a little long for someone to come seat us but once seated the service was very good. As I’m doing slimming world I asked for my steak to come with jersey royals instead of fries which was told it wouldn’t be a problem. When the meal came it came with fries the problem was quickly rectified. The rest of the meal was perfect. Had the lamb kebab starter, steak, new potatoes & rocket salad, cherry Bakewell tart. Delicious.

Evening dining should be all about the experience, unfortunately the restaurant does appear to have logistics/timings issues that you wouldn't even need Gordon Ramsay to sort out. We played it safe with our menu choices so they couldn't get much wrong, guests at other tables clearly had issues with timings and quality of food (long wait, vegetables cold etc). As we were near the counter, we heard all of the complaints, wasn't that busy either. Plenty of other places to dine in the area but as staying in the hotel, our young child wanted to eat here. Thankfully we only dined in once to reduce risk of disappointment.
