   Food was good quality. Bar staff helpful. One of the table staff was very efficient but the other lacked experience and got part of our order wrong, which was only partially rectified. Quite expensive overall. Menu wasn't as extensive as shown online.

   Amazing as always! Lovely surf and turf Virgo. The prawns were love! And the cheesecake…..well divine!!! I actually bought a piece to take home

   Nice table near open fireplace. Warm atmosphere. Good food, good choices. Helpful friendly waitress. Will certainly recommend it. 👌

   Weekday lunch here is like millionaire’s dining, fabulous food, wine and excellent service, open fire, wonderful cosy surroundings! Pork belly starter was a highlight- sumptuous in tastes and textures.

   Warm and welcoming, we were sat on a table for two, however due to our order which had a large sharing platter were asked if we wished to be moved to a larger table which we gladly accepted as it was next to the open fire. Whilst the chateaubriand was tender, had a beautiful crust it was cooked medium rare rather than rare. It was however eaten and very much enjoyed. Staff were exceptionally pleasant keeping us updated at all times, without the feeling that our evening was continuously being interrupted. Good service, good food, (the best company) all adds up to a great evening.

   Food was excellent as usual. The roast dinner was divine as was the cheesecake!

   We visit here often but it’s the first time I’ve had one of their roast dinners. Had the duo roast comprising chicken and beef. It was delicious. The Yorkshires were huge there was a good variety of vegetables all beautifully cooked and the gravy was rich and plentiful. I had the cheesecake which I always have and again this was absolutely divine!

    Very good Sunday roast main course. Veg and Yorkshires were perfect. The apple crumble could have done with more custard and less crumble.... The ladies room could do with a makeover as could some of the decor in the dining room. Having said that, lovely staff and real country pub smell. Lovely
