The White Oak Tavern is a family-owned business, operated by a brother & sister that are Ellicott City locals. The menu includes seasonal scratch made items, sustainable meats & produce from local farms and purveyors. The White Oak Burger is a community favorite and has been recognized as the best burger in Howard County for several years. The outdoor patio is dog friendly with a special dog menu. The bar has 42 rotating craft beers with a wide selection of styles with a free-to-join mug club. This includes a specialty cocktail menu with different seasonal ingredients along with a fresh mocktail menu. The Tavern offers brunch seven days a week with bottomless brunch cocktails and Sunday jazz brunch from 11am-2pm. On Friday & Saturday local musicians perform from 8-11pm.     Loved the Jazz Brunch!! Our server was courteous and wonderful. Such a nice gesture to offer me a free dessert or appetizer my next trip since they were out of red peppers?!?!

    Food was ok. They put salt on my eggs, and bacon was sweet. This should be indicated on the menu as I have salt and sugar restrictions.

I would always advise your server or bartender of any dietary restriction or allergy before ordering so that we may be aware and accommodate accordingly.     Our server was awesome. She was attentive and very nice. The home made soup was delicious! We had chili and cream of mushroom soup. The atmosphere was warm and the background live music excellent!

    We had a very nice weekday dinner at the White Oak Tavern. We shared a brussel sprout appetizer. The combination of brussel sprouts, apple, and roasted nuts was delicious. I had a vegan burger and my wife a beef tavern burger. Both were quite good. And, we accompanied the food with several local craft beers. Service was friendly and attentive.

    Overall, it was a good experience - the service was excellent, the table was waiting for us, and the food came out quickly and hot. The appetizers were excellent and the main dishes were good. We decided against dessert as we were all full. The restaurant was packed and I am glad to see it as it is a local favorite.
