   Brilliant, kind and efficient service; dog friendly with water and treats provided; very generous meat slices on roast dinner with wide variety of vegetables all well cooked; complimentary mints at the end of the meal. Thank you Woodside Team

   We ate here for Mother’s Day and were so impressed with the service and value for money! When lots of restaurants are overcharging for sub-par set menus, the Woodside provided a great Sunday menu. Amy accommodated our late additions to the booking and was so kind and attentive. We will be back!

   A lovely restaurant with great service and a promotion on the pies we had for lunch. My mum would have appreciated the heating being on and both of us could have done with more light.

   When sunday lunch arrived at the table it looked delicious. The Yorkshire pudding was out of this world! Veg was cold and meat tough and over cooked. There were several diners asking for steak knifes to cut it.

   We ate here on a Tuesday night for a family event and it was lovely. The food was home cooked and very tasty. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We've previously been for Sunday Lunch and that was superb too. Lovely staff and nice atmosphere.

   The food here is very good. There is a good range of pies, all are delicious. On Friday we had fish and chips. On "Fish Friday" it is £30 for two. The fish was huge, with lovely crispy batter. There is a choice of chips or fries, and mushy or garden peas. They come with tartar sauce. The staff are all lovely. Really friendly and helpful. I have recommended this pub to friends.

    The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was quite tasty apart from the chicken strips - they were really tough.
