The Woollen Mills has been one of the most iconic buildings and businesses in Dublin for over one hundred years, and to have taken over this site is a serious privilege. Much like our award-winning sister restaurant next door, The Winding Stair, we feel like we are custodians of something very special... a piece of history (James Joyce worked here, how unbelievable is that?!) and we must do it proud! Spanning over four floors and with a glorious roof terrace overlooking the River Liffey. The Woollen Mills is quintessentially Irish, local and of its locale. We want it to be an 'Eating House', a house of food, a place to grab a coffee and bun, a plate of Irish fish and chips, a place to score a casual bite befre the nearby theatres and cinemas or sit with seven courses of Irish antipasti, burrata, crab, lamb or cauliflower steak, overlooking the Ha'penny Bridge with a fine bottle of red or a craft beer. We hope we do it well.

                                                La comida buena pero el servicio lamentable. Reserve en terraza y me dieron en interior. Hasta ahí tampoco era un gran problema. La mesa cojeaba muchísimo y la solución fue ponerme un corcho debajo de la mesa hasta que pregunte por el manager. Me reubicaron finalmente donde había reservado. El precio no es barato así que esperaba un trato acorde con el precio.

                                                Pedimos las Sardinas, el sandwich de pavo y el cordero. El sandwich estuvo horrible. Pan malo, una rebanada de pavo casi helado, el queso frio sin derretir y un intento de aguacate. Las sardinas no tenian buen sabor y el cordero estaba bien a secas.

                                                Great location with wonderful views from upstairs, the waiter was really good. Food was pretty decent but seriously overpriced for what it was. Poor drinks selection, limited menu especially with deserts but that’s understandable when there’s an amazing ice cream / waffle / crepe place opposite that has better deserts for a quarter of the price

                                                The lamb gnocchi was absolutely amazing as were the drinks!!!! Would highly recommend this place to friends and family.

                                                We picked this restaurant because it was listed as an Irish restaurant but was kind of disappointed in the menu selections, didn’t know nachos were Irish. All in all the food was good and the service good was just hoping for something more traditional.

                                                Three of us ordered the buttermilk chicken waffles and one the burger meal, all from the brunch menu. The chicken was lovely and crispy, smashed avacado and hot sauce delicious! The only criticism I have is the waffles themselves are quite thin. The burger was good, the chips it came with could be a little crispier. Overall a lovely lunch out for Mothers day. The staff were attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was buzzy. Would come back again.
