A beautiful 16th century inn nestled in the peacefully picturesque village of Warehorne. The Woolpack is opposite St Matthew’s church and surrounded by grazing Romney Marsh sheep. There’s a wonderfully welcoming bar, comforting food and five characterful guest rooms.

As always, a wonderful lunch, accompanied with Gusbourne sparking wine from 5 miles down the road. Staff were friendly and attentive.

If I wasn’t a local, I wouldn’t return. Sadly we got completely forgotten about and neglected. No offer of dessert or hot drinks once our main had been served. Food is fine. Nothing exceptional but my expectations aren’t high. I just want rural pubs to keep going so will continue to come. I rate this pub usually and come here often but was disappointed last night.

The girls waiting on were friendly and a credit to the Woolpack The food seemed to take rather a long time before it arrived and our steaks, a medium and a rare were both a little overcooked and rather tough. A side order of flat mushroom consisted of one mushroom at £2.50. The side order of greens was perfectly adequate. The invoice arrived with the 'discretionary' tip already added on. A practice I dislike although the it could be taken off the bill on request. I doubt that I will go there again.

Booked table for 6 but some of the party cancelled at short notice. This was not a problem and the pub accommodated us. Ordered the roast beef and roast pork. Both dinners were really tasty and exceptional value. Staff were really friendly. Also, had dog with us and this was not a problem. Would highly recommend The Woolpack.

Had a birthday for my partner. Decided for a small pub. Lovely food couldn’t fault it in the slightest. Friendly staff. Worked out just over £50 a head. Very reasonable. Would recommend and will be eating again.

Excellent food and great service. A place to definitely visit again. The setting was perfect for a quiet winter evening dinner.

Best roast I’ve had in a pub in years! Dessert was amazing too. Atmosphere was lovely.

Fantastic place with great food, very attentive staff and excellent customer service. I particularly want to mention how well the entire staff dealt with my wife’s nut allergy. Also very refreshing to hear nothing but professional chat from the staff. We will be back again soon. Thank you for a lovely experience.
