This was our second time at Tia Carmen, the food, service and ambiance are fantastic. Our server Rachel guided us with the menu and the selections were delicious. We ordered family style both times and were happy to share bites, all the flavors are outstanding and the blending is unexpected and delicious.

We enjoyed our dinner last night. Every bit of it. Chef Angelo Sosa stoped by to chat and give his own recommendations. The food is a surprising blend of uniqueness, flavor, and comfort. Just what we needed.

We started with the bread and cheese balls which were excellent. Next we had the fluke and banana which is small but very tasty. The purple yam was very nice. Our entree and side were just okay. We had the lamb which was the better of the two entrees and the Denver steak which was mediocre. Also, we had the yucca side which we did not like. It had the consistency of glue. It kind of reminded me of eating poi in Hawaii as a kid. While some of the food was excellent, we probably won’t go back. I don’t mind spending some money on a good meal but I don’t see a great value here.

Service was so slow. Had to ask for things several times. My drink came after everyone was halfway done with theirs. Not sure if they forgot it. Had to ask for plates to share several times. Appetizer came out after salad. Food was good though. Very loud.

We had a very poor experience with the service. Our drinks took 15 minutes and food took 1 hour. The food was meh. Overall underwhelmed as the Phoenix Tia Carmen was outstanding.

Miguel guided us through an incredible dining experience. Each bite be coming more exquisite than the prior. Will we be back, absolutely. Top 10 dining experience, without a shadow of a doubt. - Pan Frito - Tuna Crudo - Esquites - Lamb - Market fish (ours was sea bass 🤤🤤🤤) 🎉🙌🏼🙏🏼

The food was outstanding. Very small portions but incredibly delicious. The service sadly was less than ideal. We ended up asking the manager to help us because our server kept disappearing. At the beginning the food took a very long time to come out but once we said something it was better. I’d come back to give it another try but the people I was with will not. The food definitely was the high point!
