   Party of 3, we were sat right at our reservation time, 6:30p, with no wait. We were promptly greeted by our server, Tae. She took our drink order and set the tone for the evening. My wife ordered a smoked old fashion that was delivered in a glass box filled with smoke. It was quite the presentation. We each ordered salad for apps. My son got the ceasar salad. He enjoyed it but said there were no croutons. I got the Mediterranean salad. It was very good and packed with cucumbers, olives, tomatoes, feta cheese, and lettuce. I really enjoy peppercinis on my Greek salad, but this salad didn't have them. My wife got the Wedge salad. It was huge and delicious! They literally give you the entire head of lettuce split in half. There is a ton of bacon on it. She couldn't finish and got it to go. Her only complaint was the dish it is served on is not large enough and made it hard to cut and dressing was dripping on the table. For mains, we ordered vodka pasta + chicken, scallops served with gnocchi, and the meatball pizza. All were amazing and finished with no leftovers. Dessert was gellatto and creme brulee. The gellatto was so creamy and light. You can choose two flavors. My son chose salted caramel and pistachio. The salted caramel was our favorite of the two. The creme brulee was also very good. Overall, we really enjoyed the experience and food at Twisted Tomato. I was skeptical reading the reviews, but so happy we went and will be back!

   Good points; -friendly server -great atmosphere -excellent wedge salad - tasty bread Negatives: - lobster bisque was not rich and creamy and void of any lobster meat. -Fettuccine Alfredo dish was very dry. When I asked for additional Alfredo sauce she brought it to me late and COLD and applied an additional charge. Waitress then asked if I wanted her to heat it up. -Lasagna was 1/2 inch thick and lacked ricotta cheese and layers of pasta.. Waitress said there were 7 layers in this Tuscan dish… not sure they were?? -slow service on a slow night- had to go up to the bar to get a second drink, even though our table was in the bar.    Great food, great pizza, extensive wine list and fun cocktails. Great for small or large groups. Date night or family meal.

   New restaurant with lots of kinks to work out. The waitstaff seems as if they haven’t been trained. They were a wreck from beginning to end! They were nice…just literally had no idea what to do. Food was good but a bit slow to come out. Luckily we were with super fun company and had a great time despite the chaos!

   So happy the tomato bisque was on the menu tonight. My fave! Everything we ordered was fantastic though. Quickly becoming one of my favorite stops in Blue Ridge!

   We decided on sharing a pizza. Pizza was almost burnt, didn’t arrive real hot. Service was good but all the entrees were very pricey and small from what we saw around us. Wine expensive per small glass.

   We were not waited on for over 10 minutes after being seated with a reservation at 7 pm on a Friday night. The restaurant was not busy (three tables in our area) but we noticed the manager and two employees talking not too far from us and we saw several servers walk by without saying a word so we got up and went to the bar. There was only one other person at the bar so our bartender, Megan, did a great job. The manager ended up comping some of our meal (great calamari and harvest salad, good pizza); however, management and employees need to be more aware of their surroundings and at least acknowledge customers in a timely manner.

   The food was good. Excellent crabcake and my grands enjoyer the pizza. Very slow service . Everyone had some food but the crabcakes came out way too late. They were short of servers so I don’t fault ours. Huge place

   I drove 3 hours to eat at this restaurant, only for them to express that they were “testing out” a new, limited menu for Vday. I called the restaurant a few days prior to confirm that they would be serving the menu that they had on their website. We arrived early for our reservation at 8:30. We were not served our first course (out of 4) until 10:00 pm. Following this, we did not receive our main dish until 11:30pm. The steak was not seasoned at all. Very disappointing. Also, by the time we received our main dish we had to order togo boxes so that we could make it back to our cabin in a decent time. Overall, the restaurant looks nice and has a decent ambiance to it. However, I don’t see myself ever returning to this establishment.

    Made reservations a week prior to V day and saw nothing on OpenTable that hinted of a change of menus. Arrived on time with my wonderful wife anticipating the evening and food that we had expected. We were given the new menu and nothing on there was what we were expecting or desired. After discussing the menu we decided nothing on there was appealing to us so we left... A heads up on the menu change would have alleviated all this so please, next time you decide to change the menu, make it evident on the web site. Thanks for totally screwing up our Valentines Day!
