Uchibā, loosely "Uchi Bar" in Japanese, is Uchi's izakaya‑inspired cocktail bar and restaurant delivering a vast selection of Japanese whiskies, unique cocktails, yakitori grill items and Uchi classics. Reservations are encouraged and can be booked online up to 1 month in advance. Walk-in bar seating is available and is subject to wait times. Patio seating is weather permitting and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. We look forward to serving you, Kanpai!

    This intimate restaurant has a surprisingly chill vibe. The food is fantastic, from the hot rock to sashimi. The classic sushi knocked out socks off, but they have more creative items on the menu. Everyone is busy, but attentive and the decor is incredible.

    Uchi was amazing experience 15 yrs ago when we first came to Austin. Uchiba was its match.We went for happy hour at 4pm and sat in corner booth table for two which was a intimate and wonderful. Our server Tristan was as nice and professional as one would want. We ate almost everything on the menu and took all of his recommendations. The food was delicious. The happy hour menu saves you some money if you can make it early and worth a try. We already have plans to come back.

    Enjoyed an early bird dinner here on a very cold and rainy Wednesday night. It was packed at 5 PM, but we were whisked to our booth as soon as our group arrived and were able to place an order for some of the happy hour specials before ordering our main meal. Our group of four tried a selection of sashimi, rolls and nigiri and everything was top-notch. The decor is beautiful and very cozy. Our server was excellent and acknowledged our group birthdays with a complimentary sashimi tasting plate. He paid close attention throughout the evening to ensure we had a great time. We will definitely be back.

    Had to wait for 20 minutes to be sat when we had a reservation. Understandable but when a place is supposedly upscale, it’s a bit frustrating. Overall good experience, the market selection is where you should spend your money.

    One of my favorite spots in Austin to visit when I’m in town! 10/10 definitely recommend :)

    Was there for two hours. Took us 45 minutes to get two pieces of nagiri and one piece of sashimi. Dont understand the hype.

    Amazing as always. Never thought I could love any meal more than Uchi. But Uchiba has become our new favorite.

    Really amazing service and food! The ambiance was nice but extremely loud. Definitely had a hard time speaking to my friend right in front of me. But overall amazing experience!!

    Here’s your review with a more polished and pleasant tone: We recently dined on the patio and found the experience to be a bit inconsistent compared to previous visits. While the restaurant was accommodating in adding two last-minute guests to our party, the service felt a bit disjointed, with communication among the staff seeming off at times. We opted for two omakase orders, but some rounds were identical, making it feel as though we had only ordered one. Unfortunately, the burger didn’t quite meet our expectations and went mostly untouched. However, a few dishes stood out and were enjoyable. Having had much better experiences sitting at the bar, I’d likely return in that setting, as the service and overall atmosphere have always been more seamless and enjoyable.
