Experience winter in style with Van Acre’s exclusive Igloo Experience. Our luxurious igloos offer an elevated atmosphere, complete with stylish finishes, cozy blankets and adjustable space heaters. Relax as our dedicated staff serves our full menu, perfect for lounge-style dining and craft cocktails. Join us for a memorable evening in Wausau’s most enchanting winter retreat. Reservations are available in 90 minute blocks with a $150 food and beverage minimum. A nonrefundable $100 deposit is required and will be credited to your food and beverage purchase. Single checks only and 18% gratuity will be automatically added. Maximum capacity of 8. For changes and cancellations, please contact the restaurant directly.

Just an excellent experience for our summer golf group. All the staff were so friendly. Our waitress, I don't remember her name, was just awesome and took care of us wanting drinks after the bill was paid

Wonderful meal with great service. We were celebrating a birthday and arrived to find a birthday card for our celebrant on the table. Very special evening!

A great location for people coming from out of town (Ohio and Tomahawk) Our waitress was personable, attentive and knew the menu. She didn’t rush us out as we continued to chat beyond a reasonable time. A woman at the registration desk was kind enough to take a photo of us.

Myself and three girlfriends dined out in the igloo, and there were some really great things, but some definite negative aspects. Granted, it was a very cold evening, but the igloo was absolutely frigid. Even with the heater right next to me and a blanket on, my toes were absolute popsicles. It was hard to enjoy the moment when I was so cold. Additionally, I don’t drink, so I ordered a nonalcoholic champagne and was charged $12 for it… that is the same price if not more than some of the alcoholic beverages on the menu. I know there’s a markup at bars, but the particular drink I ordered is $3.75 for one. A 300% markup is absolutely crazy. The food was fantastic and our server was wonderful. But it’s hard to outweigh those other two factors.

Excellent service and delicious food! We loved the atmosphere and appreciate quality food and drinks! Perfect evening for my wife and me.

The food was very good. The service was excellent. We were not rushed at all like we had been in the past. We’ll definitely go back.

Moriah and Ryan M made this experience memorable and remarkable. It was my wife’s birthday and from the moment we came in it was great service beginning to end. Great food, drinks always full, and sincere hospitality all around. 5/5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Everything that is on their menu is delicious and made fresh. And everything on the bar menu from drinks to wine is outstanding.
