Experience winter in style with Van Acre’s exclusive Igloo Experience. Our luxurious igloos offer an elevated atmosphere, complete with stylish finishes, cozy blankets and adjustable space heaters. Relax as our dedicated staff serves our full menu, perfect for lounge-style dining and craft cocktails. Join us for a memorable evening in Wausau’s most enchanting winter retreat. Reservations are available in 90 minute blocks with a $150 food and beverage minimum. A nonrefundable $100 deposit is required and will be credited to your food and beverage purchase. Single checks only and 18% gratuity will be automatically added. Maximum capacity of 8. For changes and cancellations, please contact the restaurant directly.

Had a phenomenal experience in the igloo this evening with my family, including my two small boys. I had dined here in an igloo a few weeks ago with my girlfriends, and there were a few minor things that I shared with a previous review. Management reached out, and after learning I was dining with them again, went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and appreciated. I can’t thank the team enough for providing an unforgettable little experience for me and my family this time around. As always, the food was fantastic and the service was phenomenal.

We have made it tradition to do an Igloo Experience at Van Acre ever since they started doing them! It is always a lovely experience. The food is wonderful and the drinks are top notch. I do, however, feel that it seems more rushed every year as they are trying to squeeze in as many parties as possible. I don’t feel that the experience is what it used to be. I would love the ability to add on extra time for an increased reservation cost. That would be well worth it!

First time at Van Acre with my husband, it was a last minute date night and we were impressed. Ambience was good, nice customer service, a bit crowded the kind of person probably cause holiday season. I am but most important thing, we enjoyed our food. Will definitely go back

Love the potential of the experience you provide. The staff and the ambiance were marvelous. 90 minute blocks are way too short of a timeframe to truly enjoy the experience though. Allowing 2.5-3 hours at minimum would be good. Or take the French approach and consider valuing the customer over money by allotting the space to the customer for the entire evening.

Just an excellent experience for our summer golf group. All the staff were so friendly. Our waitress, I don't remember her name, was just awesome and took care of us wanting drinks after the bill was paid

Wonderful meal with great service. We were celebrating a birthday and arrived to find a birthday card for our celebrant on the table. Very special evening!

A great location for people coming from out of town (Ohio and Tomahawk) Our waitress was personable, attentive and knew the menu. She didn’t rush us out as we continued to chat beyond a reasonable time. A woman at the registration desk was kind enough to take a photo of us.

The food was very good. The service was excellent. We were not rushed at all like we had been in the past. We’ll definitely go back.
