Bellarine Peninsula's Van Loon's is a favourite amongst locals, visitors and foodies for its modern and fresh take on Australian cuisine, served in its picturesque restaurant surroundings. Indoor & alfresco seating available for reservations as well as a large garden seating area available for walk-ins. Can't find a table? Contact the cafe directly to assist.
Some of Van Loon's specialty/popular dishes include the fish and chips, VLC Big breakfast, and Buddha Bowl as well as vegetarian, plant based and Gluten free options.
Van Loon's house made scones, served with jam and cream or perhaps Vanilla slice is the perfect dessert with which to finish your meal.
Please note there is a 10% surcharge on weekends and 20% surcharge on public holidays.

In the past we have had only praise for this enchanting garden space but yesterday was well average. Specifically the service. It started out really well and then after we received our mains and eaten we were literally abandoned. We had to ask for the drinks and dessert menu and then after a considerable wait had to once again prompt the wait team to take our order. This is casual dining in a lovely setting but truly I feel the value just isn’t there. $100 plus for two which was a small salad and a small paella, two hot drinks and a scone each hmmm. Setting and ambience is charming

Lovely experience for myself and a very special lady! Couldn’t find fault in anything. The number of cars on arrival is testament to dining at Van Loons.

Van Loons never disappoints! The food is always delicious, the smoothies are the best around. Customer service is friendly and attentive. Stunning location, great atmosphere. It is always our first choice for catch ups, celebrations or just a sneaky cake.

Coffee and Food were both absolutely delicious, huge sizes for the price. Great ambience! Hidden gem!

Not my first high tea at Van Loons, but very impressed today. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, food delicious and cocktails and mock tails totally gorgeous. Although not the cheapest in town, we think it was value for money and a great afternoon celebrating a special birthday. Thank you again, it won’t be our last visit.

My family and I always have a great meal at Van Loons. The food is unique and not things I would normally be able to cook myself at home. We love that this is also a nursery so we can wander around looking at the plants afterward. I recommend sitting in the conservatory area, they have blankets if you get cold!
