Building on the tremendous success of Kutir and Manthan, esteemed Michelin-starred chef Rohit Ghai, together with business partner Abhi Sangwan, are pleased to announce the expansion of their distinguished portfolio with the opening of Vatavaran, a new luxury Indian dining destination on the highly coveted Beauchamp Place. Vatavaran promises to be a unique addition to London’s dining scene, offering not only luxurious dishes but an immersive space that transitions seamlessly from day to night. Guests can enjoy the venue’s evolving atmosphere, with live music and entertainment enhancing the multi-sensory experience - carrying the vibrant ambiance late into the evening.

Vatavaran, meaning 'atmosphere' in Sanskrit, draws inspiration from the serene landscapes of the Himalayas. Designed as a sanctuary for the senses, this sensory dining experience will immerse guests in the essence of these majestic mountains.

The food is really good but the service leaves a bad taste. There was a long wait time for drinks once we had ordered. The food arrived in a good amount of time and was served well but the drinks service wasn’t great at all. It took a long while to get coffee at the end. They lost a coat and we kindly received a lecture from one waiter about the importance of getting a ticket for your coat even though they said they would put the coats together. Really let down by the service.

We had a fantastic evening at Vatavaran. The food was amazing, but the lamb curry was a bit salty to our palette ; rest everything was spot on.

This was hands down THEE BEST restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. The decor, the drinks, the service, the staff and last but by no means the least the food - exceptional. It was a taste sensation. The staff are so professional and know the ingredients of every dish and give expert advice. So good I can’t put it into words. Outstanding dishes were lamb shank breyani, the fish and butter chicken - all the sides and vegetarian options were equally as good. We had a bread basket and that was also on another level of excellence.

Tasty food, unique choices. Great atmosphere. However when other diners arrived and the restaurant was busy, the waiters were too rushed and we were ignored. Had to ask three times for extra breads and yoghurts. Had to ask for dessert menus, had to ask for our main courses to be removed. After which, we didn’t feel like ordering more after dinner drinks or desserts and just asked for the bill. They were very kind to prepare a small dessert for my son’s birthday. However again, we ordered a taxi as it was taking too long to arrive!

It was our first time and it is a new restaurant in a nice neighborhood. The food was delicious and authentic. We liked everything but the butter chicken was one of the best I have had in a long time and the garlic naan…yum.

The restaurant looks stunning and has a very nice “vibe” and the food is presented very nicely. The staff was very kind. Only remark - the music is too loud and too much giving club music.
