Found in the heart of historic Currie Barracks in Calgary, AB we have transformed the D4 Stables landmark into a unique collaboration restaurant. Nestled into our West wing we have Vaycay Brew Co brewing up unique, easy drinking beers, and our East is the home to Burwood Distillery focusing on craft made spirits like gins and whiskey using local ingredients like our Honey farms. In the middle we are Veranda, so whether you are in for a beer or cocktail we have them all, and produced on site! Our cuisine focuses on utilizing our collaborative partners brew and spirits into our dishes with our showcased Italian clay brick ovens on display for guests to watch their pizzas being cooked. Incredible events space, sprawling 200 seat south facing patio, gin distilling classes, tours and more. A quick 6 minutes from downtown Veranda is your hidden gem of Calgary. Waitress was a little arrogant/ condescending. One example: when the child at our table asked what kind of pop they had the answer was ‘we have the ones that all restaurants have’. We found it strange and a bit ridiculous that when we asked for the bread appetizer to be cut so we could share it, the answer was ‘No, it’s really hard to slice.’ How odd!

Always a fun location to visit. It was quiet tonight, which meant we weren’t shouting overtop of the other patrons echoing in the space. Prices are sky high for what you get, food and especially drinks are pricey. Services has improved considerably over the years.

My husband and I have visited this establishment a few times. We were planning a dinner out with friends for a post Christmas celebration someplace they had had never been. They are very picky. It definitely met our expectations as usual but our friends were impressed with the food and drinks!

We enjoyed a delicious lunch in a cozy, friendly environment on a beautiful snowy Christmas day. We had a great time and will definitely return!

Got there for happy hour and well worth it. The drinks and food were very good. Loved the nachos.

I’m gonna change my review to five star! Food was delicious, we had the beer cheese soup, shared a salad, there were three of us and we shared something else which I can’t remember but no, it was delicious! The drinks are superb! I think I was gonna give it a four star just because it took a little while to get our drinks throughout the meal but it’s understandable given the Christmas season. Will definitely be back!

Very good “ house” red wine . I have enjoyed it in previous visits. Staff very friendly . Primary area for comfort and ambiance great for both low and high tables …. In the other hand , the hallway is cold removed from the vibe.
