   We were seated immediately since we had a reservation. Our drink orders were taken straight away and she brought waters all around, which was a plus. She offered help with the menu and went over the specials. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. She spoke very loudly which kind of took us aback. There was also confusion about dessert. We thought we’d ordered it, she said let her know. Dessert never came, but it also wasn’t on the check. Overall it was a great dining experience.

   Our waiter was Ernest. He's a great guy and brings a lot of positive energy to your table. We had a party of 5 and he had several tables of 4 people or more. Even though he was very busy, we felt as though he was paying enough attention to us. Food was great. Drinks were as well. Overall it was a fun night with great food and a great waiter.

   The Village Tavern on Stratford Rd has a great atmosphere with a huge fireplace, high cathedral ceiling with wooden beams is the reason why I am recommending for the scenic view. It is a beautiful interior. The service by our waitress, Kristen, was quick, personable and efficient. It is not the first time that my wife and I have dined at this place, and certainly will not be the last but I do recommend advanced reservations. We arrived just before our 7:00pm reservation time and were seated within a couple of minutes. There was a line of people that did not have reservations waiting for a table.

   Hospital visits brings us here and we discovered this restaurant and will continue to go there. Food is excellent so far!!

   Everyone loved their meal, especially the deviled pimento cheese eggs - an appetizer! Yummy!!!!
