Watch Hill Proper Bourbon Bar & Kitchen is a unique restaurant experience located in the heart of bourbon country. Open to the public, we offer the largest selection of American whiskey in the country along with a world class cocktail program made entirely with American whiskey. Chef Michael Crouch is a master of blending flavor to pair with our whiskey, cocktails, and wine offerings.

Loved the extensive collection of whiskey! We loved the service and the blind tasting was so much fun. They know their whiskey! Plus the food was delicious.

This was our first trip to Watch Hill Proper and was not disappointed. The ambiance was very nice and the service was exceptional. Impressive bourbon selection and the wine list was very good with several nice half bottles to choose from. We started with the shrimp cocktail and it was delicious. The Cajun seasoning was a nice touch. The Groganica Aquaponic Greens salad with Champagne Ginger Viniagrette was delicious but had way too much dressing for my taste, which overpowered the other flavors of the salad. The beef tenderloin was cooked perfectly but was a little salty. All minor issues that did not detract from our evening. Great place. We’ll definitely go back.

As an international traveling food critic and unbeknownst to the staff, the following is what I experienced: + We had the pleasure of meeting the Manager, Chris directly on arrival. He has a very positive attitude and sets the example of excellence. + Superb service from David. He was energetic, down to earth, extremely efficient with impeccable situational awareness. + Very comfortable and impressive atmosphere. + Quality of food was exceptional high with nothing but the finest of meats, starch, and vegetables. If you are in the area and don't take the time to dine here, you missed out on a fine experience.

Fantastic venue with the largest bourbon menu out there! Plenty of options for non-bourbon drinkers as well. Food was top notch that was only surpassed by the excellent over the top service. You have to pay for all of this… worth it? Yeah, for the ever so often splurge that you’re going to have fond memories every time. I think I’ll keep working rather than retire, to keep going back. How do the young folks pay for this extravagance?
