Wild Water, featuring beautiful dining with an exceptional view of the Trawool Valley, is proudly named after the translation of the local Taungurung word Traawool. Serving contemporary Australian cuisine that highlights all the best of locally sourced produce. Highlights on the menu include the Trawool Ribs, Wagyu Burger and Fish of the Day, as well as our beautiful wine list that features local and international wines.

Been wanting to come here for ages and was not disappointed. Outstanding venue for our anniversary with mouth watering food, friendly attentive staff and amazing view of the surrounding area. Can’t wait to go back. Thanks Rio!

What a breathtaking space. Bar & Restaurant are perfect & the staff were the most accomodating we have ever experienced. Big thank you to Chris & Nikki whose hospitality was next level. Food & Wine was delicious.

Although arriving late, we were made feel most welcome at wild water, we overlooked a lovely setting, whilst enjoying a delicious meal, focaccia & burrata worth a special mention, and good wine. Staff over dinner & breakfast alike were delightful making our short stay & dining experience most pleasant. Thanks Chris @ bar, @ reception,@ restaurant, & all.

We had to wait an inordinately long time for our food. My husband's first choice was not available and there didn't seem to be a good vegetarian choice so I had two starters (which were good). Everyone had to wait: the people on the table next to us complained and were given complimentary drinks. When it came to paying we were just told the amount - no itemised bill which seems very strange. The air conditioning was far too cold but, to be fair, they turned it off as soon as I asked. Overall not a great experience

The ambience was nice with a lovely view. We live locally so we like to support our local venues but we will never be back again and will share with our local community of our experience. Two people in our party ordered the scotch fillet, Expected something outstanding for $65 for a scotch fillet but no, very mediocre. Tough, fatty and not cooked as per ordered. No steak knife was offered. The other meals were just edible but not worth the price we were charged. Trawool have been advertising in our local community page about seeing the New Year in with local music and drinks package available in the herb garden. Music finished at 9 and no drink package available. All in all a very dissapointing experience at Trawool Resort and we will not be back again. So if you’re thinking of dining at Trawool white water restaurant you would be wise to reconsider. Hefty prices for low standard food, service was mediocre and false advertising regarding their NYE celebrations. Don’t do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, we also sincerely regret that the New Year’s Eve event did not live up to what you were expecting. As discussed with Chris our Food & Beverage Manager on the evening, there were technical issues with our point-of-sale system, that unfortunately delayed your tables food. Which I’m happy to say, has now been resolved. Unfortunately, we would have greatly appreciated the opportunity to resolve the below concerns while you were still with us. Our team is always available to address any issues and adjust accordingly. We take guest feedback seriously and would have welcomed the chance to make your experience right during your visit. We understand your decision and hope that you have a great 2025.

Wild Water is absolutely outstanding!!! The service from Julia cannot be faulted, what a wonderful attentive host. The food is to die for. I had scallops for the entree - just divine with caramelised shallots beautiful, followed by the scotch fillet cooked to absolute perfection, in fact one of the best steaks I have ever had, My wife had the salmon which was just magnificent, and quite large portion sizes. As Molly would say, do your sself a favour and head up there you will not be disappointed, in fact you could make a weekend of it by staying in the accommodation at the Estate.

We made a Saturday lunch booking for multiple family member birthdays - team member Katie was great and did her best to keep us informed, however our meals took over an hour and 20 minutes after ordering for 7 people. Katie arranged a round of drinks for the table to accommodate the delay. The food was amazing but we were disappointed we weren’t offered even some bread to get us by while waiting.
