William’s is a multi-award-winning seafood restaurant, fishmonger, delicatessen and caterer in the heart of Nailsworth, Gloucestershire.

A veritable Cotswolds institution for fifty years, William’s has recently benefitted from a full-scale refurbishment of both the restaurant and shop area in January 2020.

Alongside a 64-cover new restaurant sits a new fish counter displaying an outstanding range of fresh seafood, delivered daily from Scotland and the South West coastline. The adjacent delicatessen offers a large selection of chef-prepared meals, cheeses, charcuterie and terrines as well as fresh fruit and vegetables.

We are proud to have been voted one of Matthew Fort’s ‘Five Favourite Places to Shop’ and one of Rick Stein’s ‘Food Heroes’.

Williams was a lovely little find for us. In a town we had not heard of but are planning to visit for more of a look round. Lovely atmosphere, the staff were all attentive and friendly. The food was incredible we pushed the boat out and had three courses all of which tasted wonderful and were cooked and prepared to perfection. The Aplle Mousse desert was a sight to behold and almost too good to spoil, it tasted as good as it looked. Thank you Williams and we will definitely be coming back.

Lovely as ever; particularly enjoyed the Catalan Fish Stew, beautiful chunks of different fish, great flavour. Friend had the half prawns in garlic which were good, but a bit small (three for £36) and hard to get 'meat' out of shell, so not as good value. Chips always fabulous and puddings also lovely. Great place.

Lovely food in really pleasant and friendly surroundings. We went on the 14th of February though and plainly they were very busy. We spent quite a while just standing around waiting to be seated or even greeted, let alone offered a drink, and then we felt rather rushed between courses, desert menus being proffered when we'd barely swallowed the last mouthful of our main course. But overall a truly special evening out. We felt looked after, and the food was one of the nicest meals I've eaten in a long while.
