“This Must be the Place”

What's a Wolf Peach, you say? Well, it’s an interesting story.

What we know today as the tomato was first grown as a crop by the Aztec Indians. Spanish explorers brought the tomato back to Europe in the early 1500s.
In England and Germany, they were initially regarded as ornamental, but poisonous, a “wolf peach”. This is because aristocrats experimented with the tomato, but it ended badly—not due to the fruit, but because it was eaten on pewter dishes. Apparently, acids in the tomato leached the highly toxic lead in the pewter dishes, and caused illness and even death in many cases. The “common” folk, however, typically ate on wooden dishes, and had no problem!

Wolf Peach is a place for all of us regular folks. A little uncommon, a little unexpected, a little special. A place for everyone and anyone to enjoy a good hearty meal, scratch-made from Chef Jason Okurowski.

Firday and Saturday evenings will not accomodate parties of larger than 8.

Ten of us celebrated a friend’s birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make the event extra special. Everyone loved their food, and the service was top notch. All around it was a perfect night. We all stated that we would all be back!

I absolutely love the lamb there. I don't look at the menu, I ask them "Do you have a lamb dish". That's what I'll have.

Wolf Peach never disappoints. We sat at the bar for an early dinner, appetizers were the beets and the ricotta ghnocci. Delicious is an understatement! For the main courses, we had the ghnocci (a favorite) and a recent addition to the menu, the grouper. These dishes simply melt in your mouth and leave your taste buds in a state of euphoria !

They had an extensive meat and cheese selection to create your own Charcuterie board. That implies that you have an extensive knowledge of cured meats. The menu other than the Charcuterie board was limited. The wine pour was stingy for the price per glass. The patio looked inviting for the summertime

Thank you for the review, David! We are very proud of our every-changing charcuterie selections, and we are very happy to see you enjoyed them as well. We keep our menu items offered to 8 entrees, 5-6 shareables and 5-6 small plates to keep items fresh and constantly rotating. We also change items on our menu about every 6 weeks or so to keep our guests excited about our seasonal offerings. Our wine glasses served are a measured 5 ounces; the standard pour according to the NIAAA. Our glasses are 20 ounces in volume, which may give the perception of a light pour, but rest assured you are getting the standard 5 ounces each glass. We hope to see you again to enjoy even more! Thank you again for taking the time to let us know how we are doing.

The food and craft cocktails were all excellent as was the service. For starters we had the whipped ricotta which was delicious, fried chicken, which could have been a meal alone, outstanding, and the oysters that were so fresh and had a spicy, crunchy topping that was so yummy. Then we had the scallops, which were cooked perfect and had a polenta that was so good and the pork ossobuco, that was so delicious. We ended with carrot cake and the bread pudding and proceeded to roll out to our car. Highly recommend!

What a cozy place to eat. The ambiance was great and the service even better. I highly recommend the Crudo. It was very good.

We were greeted with an unexpected champagne toast for Valentine’s Day! Such a treat. Cheese board was delicious and plentiful. Our tenderloin was cooked perfectly and the zucchini was really good! Dessert was presented in a fun valentines heart and was decadent. We will definitely be back.
