Yono's, a two time Top 100 restaurants winner, has been Albany's premiere World Class restaurant for almost years. Owned and operated by second generation renowned restaurateur, Dominick Purnomo, the intimate, elegant split level dining room is has recently gone through a renovation modernizing the dining room now elegantly appointed with neutral colors, bronzed mirrors, a large fireplace, crystal chandelier, and floral displays. An innovative menu of blending French Technique, Asian Influence & American Ingredients pays homage to the rich culinary history of founding Chef Yono Purnomo. Managing partner & sommelier Josh Turo offers a wine list with some 1000 labels representing every major wine growing region in the world. We went for the whiskey tasting dinner and it was a wonderful experience! The food was incredible as always and service top notch. It was a little louder than usual in there but I think everyone was having a good time sampling the whiskeys and asking questions. Yonos is always a must go!

Seated us with another party at the same table. They were excellent dinner guests but were off put by the double seating as well. I would’ve rather have gone for a regular dinner than for the whiskey tasting. Thought the whiskey tasting would’ve been a fun addition to the night but I think it took away from experience we were looking for. Again, no where in the description was it mentioned that we would be seated with other couples especially since this was supposed to be a date night. Dinner was very subpar for the price paid. Main course was not great. Extremely fatty brisket, lean parts were dry and the beans were very undercooked and by the looks of everyone’s plates around us they agreed. Might come back again just not sure. Left with more complaints than compliments.

They did everything to make my Wife’s 50th Birthday super special… Service was amazing as was the food… Definitely a place you want to go to celebrate and make a memory..

food and presentation was great - but the wine service and pairing was the standout. Complemented the food really well and was a great value. Staff seemed very excited to serve. Made for a great valnetines day.

Overall, the bill was excellent. The ambience was incredible. The service was well developed and executed outstandingly. The only problem was it was Valentine’s Day and they did not have enough staff. We ended up waiting a half an hour for food and it was so unacceptable. I was gonna get dessert, but then I was just like it’s time to go and they asked me if I wanted to go, but I was just ready to be gone from that place but overall I had a wonderful time. I just wish the wait staff had more staff on being that it was Valentine’s Day.

Diners have two options: Prix fixe or the tasting menu. The prix fixe was more than enough for us, and the options excellent. I would come back here for a special occasion!

Food was amazing, servers were very knowledgeable and professional. We went on New Year’s Eve so menu was pre fixe with some additional costs added based on food choices Overall great experience, definitely recommended and would go back
