   Problem with food service - ordered an appetizer and waited 20 minutes while my other half received soup. When my appetizer arrived - immediately afterwards the main course arrived!! I hadn't even started eating my appetizer. Possible food contamination. Got sick on either the pot-stickers or the meat dish. My half had neither and didn't encounter any later illness. Very disappointed.

   We always love dining at Red Lantern and the food is normally very good. The only thing that we wish Red Lantern still had is the crispy Hong Kong style noodles with seafood or other items. I understood from the staff that the chefs do not want to make it because it’s too much trouble. That’s very unfortunate because other Michelin Chinese restaurants in Sacramento do you have the crispy noodles. Our favorite server is Ms Yim. She always makes her guest feel welcome and accommodated in the most wonderful way.

   We did not get the table that we requested - when we had made our reservation a month in advance. Service was really slow it took 40 minutes to get our food. The restaurant was extremely LOUD!!! it was hard for us to even have a normal conversation.

   We had a wonderful time dining at Red Lantern. Such delicious Chinese food. Service was excellent and the ambiance was Beautiful.

   This is our go-to spot for Chinese food. The service is not only super friendly, but the food is excellent, and the portions are worth the price; they are not just okay, they are HUGE. The eating area is set up nicely and super clean. The only thing that would make it better is if there were an easier way to enter without having to walk through the smoke-filled casino. Other than that, I highly recommend this place. Thank you to Red Lantern, we look forward to coming back soon.

   It’s always a great dining experience at the red lantern. Wish they would bring back the chow fun.
