Located in the Upper East Side, Tang By MR. SUN offers a unique fusion of Eastern and Western culinary traditions. Our founder envisioned a place where Chinese cuisine is celebrated for its elegance, not just the familiar heavy, oily dishes. We pride ourselves on using premium ingredients, such as filet mignon for our Beef & Broccoli and tiger prawns in our Shrimp Satay. Our culinary journey began with a small eatery near Rockefeller Center, where our seasoned chefs, recruited from China, honed their skills in adapting authentic Chinese flavors to suit the local palate. We've since added a young chef to our team, bringing new flair and modern presentation to our dishes. We were 5 friends who dined together last night. The restaurant is beautiful, the food is delicious and it is not at all noisy! My only complaint was that it was a bit expensive, not typical of Chinese food. But the food wasnt typical either. It was unusual and every dish was well prepared. The staff was lovely too!

Very happy we booked a large party with you, Food was very fresh, good quality, good portion size, good service. I appreciated you taking the time to accomodate 18 as one large table.We would return again with a large group.

We waited for an hour before leaving with no food. They just kept saying it’s coming out. It’s coming out and it never did so. We didn’t even taste any food. Quite honestly terrible service terrible management.

They initially told us a table downstairs was for us then sat us upstairs amongst boxes after. When we complained they gave us the table they had first claimed was ours. We never ate. Took them 30 minutes to put our order in and it never came so we left. Never going back.

They were completely unprepared for our reservation THey wanted us to go upstairs which requires you to traverse a narrow dark unsafe stairway to sit by ourselves in a messy cold room They finally squeezed us I. On a small table in the front by the door where they have no protection from the cold. We couldn’t get food other table was being served the manager was basically very apologetic but useless and while they said they “comped” something’s for all of our inconvenience they plainly did not So beware of going there on any night you expect them to be busy So disappointing an experience
