Banchō is a cocktail and whisky focused small bar in Sydney's Chinatown. We’re excited to bring a quality drinking experience to Chinatown. Our cocktails showcase local market produce and the bounty of Asian ingredients around us. Our bar features a large selection of Japanese and Scotch whisky, including rare and independent bottlings. And our bar snacks are designed to go hand in hand with the top shelf drinking to be had here at Banchō.

What a hidden delight in Haymarket. Walking in the door we felt as though we travelled to a bar in Europe or Japan. Fantastic bites, great selection of alcohol and the atmosphere was amazing. We will definitely be back to try some whiskey.

Always a good experience at Banchō, attentive services. Drinks list could run a few seasonal specials as a suggestion.

Decided to go by myself and was sat at the bar. The staff were very approachable and friendly, chatted up a storm with some. Great experience all around

Best cocktails and service. Sold out of some of the food menu we wanted to try. But overall extremely satisfied with the drinks menu. Waiter was professional yet friendly!

Nice place we got a late dinner booking. Why are we complaint was that as soon as we got there they said they were closing and forced us into ordering quickly Why take a late booking if they don’t wanna keep the kitchen open ?

Given I had family staying for the holidays I wanted to treat them to this bar. The confirmation from OpenTable meant nothing as the bar was closed leaving me scrambling to find another venue. Very poor management to not inform OpenTable of the closure and not a great way to treat customers.
