The Sanford House requires in-house catering for all events. We are well known for superb food and service and we have a delicious selection of buffet and plated options for your event. If you had something special in mind, Executive Chef David Pacheco of Restaurant506 can customize any menu you desire.

Restaurant506 has three dining rooms that can be rented for private gatherings of up to 16 people. For larger events the Renoir Room or our Grand Courtyard would be ideal. Our Renoir Room is suitable for up to 40 guests and outdoors the Grand Courtyard can accommodate up to 200 guests.

El lugar es como casa de tu abuelita. Muy acogedor. Pocos espacios. Los clientes en general iban muy arreglados y todos con reservación. El lugar es muy concurrido. El menú varía en temporadas. Los pudines de calabaza extraordinarios, de lo mejor en la carta. El cordero buenísimo. El servicio fenomenal.

My wife and I attended the New Year's Eve special event as our first outing to this Arlington landmark. The event prix fixe menu presented a 3-course menu consisting of appetizer, entree, and desert, with a complimentary Champaigne toast. First, the ambiance was spectacular. The historic Sanford House had been exquisitely decorated for Christmas with embellishments requiring of a wide-eyed walking tour around the beautiful estate. Including a stroll of the Van Gogh Bar and Lounge. Beyond the aesthetic, we both commented on our ability to carry on effortless, low-toned conversation while very soft music played in the background of a reserved environment respected by all in attendance. Second, service was expectedly professional without being stuffy or overbearing. Our server, Jacob, a tall, slender, gentlemen was attentive and welcoming, with a jovial demeanor which only enhanced our experience. Third, the fare was utter perfection. Sumac Dusted Scallops were quite tender with a lightly crispy seared surface followed with an amazing raspberry sorbet palette cleanser. Entree's, (hers) Lemon Thyme Buttered Seabass was perfectly portioned, wonderfully seasoned, flaky and memorably tasty, (his) Bullet Peppercorn Ribeye (14oz) came out a masterful medium, nicely marbled, with a Bourbon Bullet Peppercorn sauce taking it to the next level. Our deserts, (her) 506 Chocolate Creme Brulee, (his) Decadent Limoncello Cake, did not disappoint either. If I had to mention any issue, it would be only a minor one, in that with a title of 'Bullet Peppercorn' I imagined inclusion of whole peppercorns (similar to an au poivre). Truely a minor, expectation exquisitely pushed aside via an amazing reality presented by a master of their craft. The price was $$$$, as for any true 5-Star experience, completely worth every penny. In summary, unique decor, mellow ambiance, attentive service, and perfect fare together representing of a truly upscale experience we highly recommend!

The food was excellent as usual. We have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. The quality of the food, the ambience, can’t be beat. We are actually going to stay in one of the cottages for New Year’s Eve next year.

Fabulous food, drinks, and Christmas decor. Perfect for a brunch, girls lunch or dinner. Very cozy and quiet! Excellent service as well!

The braised short rib was a little dry and the lobster rissotto was a little salty. Asparagus was the best part of the plate.

We had a great time. Food was delicious. We had the sea bass with risotto, crab cakes, scallops, surf and turf, lobster Mac and cheese, and salads. Everything was fantastic!
