I always really enjoy coming to restaurant for date nights… but last night my experience didn’t meet expectations that I know Ruth Chris is known for. The food especially was disappointing, service was slow, the restaurant was EXTREMELY PACKED and the servers were debating about dirty dishes being left in the eyes of the customers I just hope the next time I visit it would be better

I have been coming to Ruth’s Chris for over 40 years and have been to locations such has Chicago, Cincinnati, and Coral Gabels, Florida. The experiences and food have always been consistent except for the last few years at the Northbrook location. They closed the downtown Chicago location years ago and this is the closest one now from Chicago. Tonight It was a few things off. My steak was tender but was missing that fragrant butter garlic smell and butter was not sizzling on the plate when it came out. Bummer bc the sound used to be everything but our plates came out with no smell or sizzling sound. The portions were clearly smaller than last year on all sides and appetizers and had the nerve to increase prices $2 to $3. I have my receipts from last year and last night. I have no problem paying more, but not for less portions and a decline in ambience and taste. I need to go to another Ruth’s Chris location before I dismiss them. Because I need to figure if it’s just this location or has Ruth’s Chris lost the legacy taste and ambience

We had a terrible time we order a vegetable and ask for it to have no bacon. It can with bacon. The steak had to much salt on them.

My fiancé and I went.. both our first time! It was so so good! We shared the tomahawk ribeye, creamed spinach and lobster Mac and cheese.. we enjoyed every second of it the food was excellent, best steak ever!

As always, Ruth’s Chris is the leader in steakhouses. From the moment you walk in, the service is impeccable. Tonight being New Year’s Eve you would expect service to lack either due to overbooking or being short staffed. Not here - nothing was missed. We weren’t rushed to turn over the table (even though they were booked solid). Guests were also offered a complimentary glass of champagne. The steaks were exceptional (as always) and the 500 degree plates that they are served on make the experience above and beyond. Already looking forward to our next visit!

The food was outstanding! Thanks for making the lobster mac and cheese right! Rich was fabulous, very attentive and professional. The birthday touches were a hit for a 16th birthday dinner. We’ll be back!!!!!
