Priding ourselves on our motto ‘Famous for fish’ Smiths Restaurants is a name that has become synonymous with fine dining and quality, attentive service. Our restaurants are located in Ongar Essex (just off the A414) and Wapping in central London (near Tower Bridge). Both restaurants boast an extensive menu of fresh fish that we offer to cook in a variety of ways to suit every palette. We also offer locally sourced meat dishes to accommodate those who prefer their food terra firma. To compliment the quality of our food we have worked closely with well renowned independent wine merchants to ensure we have a selection of wines that are the perfect accompaniment to every meal. The only problem you may have a Smith’s is being spoilt for choice.

Had a table for two for our anniversary lovely restaurant, staff and food we will be back. When you ask for something it happens straight away no waiting no reasking .

It was our 60th wedding anniversary and the flowers I had ordered for my wife had a table to themselves. All the staff were very pleasant, efficient and accommodating.

A wonderful birthday experience, the food was delicious, the ambience was very classy and the service staff were so attentive and polite. I came here for my birthday dinner and it was absolutely incredible, I felt so special on my birthday. The restaurant was clean the interiors were stunning. Highly recommend and would visit again.

Excellent food and service. Good value as well. Our table was probably the worst in the building right next to kitchen delivery area and the noise levels in the restaurant made it difficult to hear each other . Wapping restaurant is a much more picturesque and you can hear yourself talk

Went to Smiths for Sunday Lunch, you get the option of a Sunday roast or the full a la carte menu. Chose to have roast lamb and can honestly say it was the best roast dinner I have ever had at a restaurant or pub. Homemade Yorkshire, crispy roast potatoes and perfectly cooked meat with lashings of gravy.it is not cheap at this restaurant but the service and food makes for a fantastic dining experience.

Seating arrangement was not great, for the two of us, I was sat facing the neighbouring table on a chair, and not facing my partner.

Food quality is amazing. We have been here many times. Fish is so fresh. Teriyaki chicken salad superb. They should give you another side dish. £6 for a tiny pot of mushy peas. Recommend it!
