Sugarbeat never fails to deliver on service or food. They go above and beyond to accommodate even finding me a last minute booking at xmas for 19 people. The food is outstanding and the staff are friendly and warm. I always look forward to going whether it's a date night, lunch with friends or a work meal out it never disappoints.

As much as it was kind of romantic being put in the little back room at the back of the restaurant, the table for two, it was cold, draughty and our voices echoed. I didn't rate that part at all. The food and service made up for it. I had the surf and turf, I usually expect the worst with rump steak but it was amazing. The chips were spot on, onion rings cooked to perfection. My partner, who's birthday treat it was had the Hunter's Chicken. She said it was delicious, the chicken extremely tender. I was lucky enough to get her bacon he he. I'm sorry to say, I don't tip, it says service isn't included on the bill, I think that's a bit off, considering I spent over £55. I'm sure the staff get paid.

Booked a table 3 weeks in advance requesting to be seated in the main restaurant area, as my wife suffers from back problems and it can feel quite cold sitting in the top bar. Arrived and were immediately seated right next to the main doors in the top bar. When we requested a different table we were told bluntly “No, we’re busy today”. Food was good, but the attitude of the hostess means we will not be returning.

Great, smilie service with just the right amount of time between ordering and checking on us asking if we needed anything/more drinks etc. lovely food just the right portion size, good value. Been time and time again and will be back in the future

After getting a drink and being told where our table was by the barman we were left waiting for anyone to serve us. After 30 minutes we finally managed to ask for a menu. Food came quickly and was good. Fish and chip portion was huge but crispy chilli chicken looked more like a starter. The table we were given was not good. It was small and a walkway for all the staff to get to other tables. Food was reasonably priced. They could do with a few specials. Would not recommend and wouldn’t return. Disappointing.
