El pub Charlton Arms resulta realmente encantador y ofrece vistas al histórico puente Ludford a pocos minutos a pie del centro de Ludlow. La cocina, dirigida por Stephan Smith, se centra en la cocina británica y ofrece una gran variedad de productos locales. Los magníficos clásicos de pub se combinan a la perfección con platillos muy elaborados. Las cervezas y las sidras locales destacan entre la ecléctica selección de vinos para todos los presupuestos. Behind the Charlton Arms, parking is available for up to 30 vehicles. In the event of overspill, there is additional parking in town or on the Whitcliffe Common viewpoint, both are a 3-5 minute stroll from the pub.
Public transit
Ludlow train station is a ten minute walk from the pub, and has firm links to London Paddington, via Newport and Manchester Piccadilly. There is a good local bus service, with several stops in the town.

Great surroundings relaxed atmosphere pre dinner drinks , no rush, good menu but chose the lovely roasts and shared the meats. Fabulous Yorkshire pudding too. Very pleasant attentive waitress Declined dessert as savoured main dish but they looked yummy. Coffee to finish watching the river flow Overall a lovely meal plus we redeemed a voucher so win win

Great welcome, very friendly staff. The choice of meals was really good, we chose the roast dinner and it was delicious.

A great meal as usual - lovely staff and service. The only negative would be the slightly mediocre choice of main courses - burgers and fish & chips is a bit average compared to what we've been used to. With that said, everything we had was perfectly cooked and presented and the Charlton remains a favourite for us.

We went to The Charlton Arms for my birthday dinner which was unfortunately on a Sunday night. We found it in the Michelin guide. The menu (apparently because it was Sunday) was very limited and really all there was was Sunday lunchtime leftovers - the Yorkshire pudding was very stale and old. Staff were not engaging or invested in us having a good time. All very boring, average. Room was cold, characterless. Not worthy of being in Michelin. Disappointing. Maybe better during the week when full menu on.

Excellent choice for a high end pub supper. Outside in the summer next to the river would be perfect. Would be perfect.

We live in Ludlow and the Charlton is definitely one of favourite places to eat in the town, as food is consistently excellent quality.

Great choice of well made cocktails, excellent French 75’s. We had fish soup, pulled oxtail wagyu, roast pork and truffle tortellini, it was all delicious and the portions were huge. Great value, highly recommend.
