Located in the heart of downtown Toronto, The Chefs’ House is an innovative, student-focused concept restaurant where students from George Brown College's Centre for Hospitality & Culinary Arts have the opportunity to learn from the best teacher - experience. It also gives the public the opportunity to experience a relaxed urban dining experience.

At The Chefs' House, you can host an event with us through our Private Dining service. Working with our Chef de Cuisine, you can design the menu to be exactly the way you want it. Or possibly an elegant and seasonal vegetarian dinner for a group of environmentally conscious friends paying a visit to the city? 4th visit this year. All student run. The service is a little tentative, so be nice to your servers and draw them out. The food is terrific. And the value for money outstanding.

The experience was amazing. The food was incredible and the server Leo and Monica our assistant server both were great. He made suggestions, a little chat, and made the experience very pleasant.

We had an excellent experience doing a 3-course dinner here. The students were very enthusiastic to learn and everything was well prepared. The mussels were excellent, with flavourful broth. The fattoush salad was refreshing and well seasoned. The duck was superb and the panna cotta was heavenly and sharp! If I had any feedback it would be that the bread was slightly overdone, the old fashioned could have been smokier, and the Black Forest cake could have been slightly more moist. But those are easy corrections. I will definitely be back to support this great place for student learning.

Highly recommend! The food was excellent. An eclectic menu with lots of variety. Service was top notch. As this is a culinary and hospitality school, you can’t beat the value. At a « traditional » restaurant in Toronto, you would pay two or three times what you do here AND you are supporting students. Win win! We will definitely go again.

Our server was extremely knowledgeable about the items on the menu . The fact that we were asked about allergies is in itself worth 5 stars. I had made a special request when I made my reservation pertaining to a birthday message on a chocolate dessert and our server was aware of it (the dessert was delicious). I was surprised regarding the no gratuity policy; my previous visit was as a guest. That said I was very happy to donate the equivalent to the scholarship fund.
