Después de una gran remodelación, este histórico pub del siglo 14 reabrió sus puertas a finales de mayo del 2014. The City Barge aspira a ser el mejor pub junto al río Támesis y ofrece un bar acogedor, un comedor impresionante, una cocina abierta grande y un espacio considerable en el exterior, todo esto junto al río.

when arrived very noisy loud wih kids running and screaming and shouting later they left. In an afternoon on Saturday which we tried to be earlier and had called to see if can go even earlier we were told quiet but that is ok. Service great but each staff seemed mostly in such rush but last one asked if all ok. many thanks. Food compared to price is too high but that is most pubs. At least they have different and more food on the menu. Portions quite small especially sea bass but tastes great.

Nice food and beautiful location but £75 for two Sunday roasts with fizzy water and an orange juice and lemonade seems way too much. A side of cauliflower cheese was £7.50, I think. Sadly I didn't notice when ordering. The bill was a shock. Everything was nice - ambience, food etc. Shame about the pricing.

Hi James, Many thanks indeed for your review, I'm glad you found everything that's within our control on site to your satisfaction. Our pricing is inline with the other pubs on the river, with roast beef at £22 and lamb at £24.50, so with sides, drinks and service this does indeed come to just over £70. Our highly trained chefs do source the best ingredients, and make everything fresh on site, so the the price does reflect this, as well as the high energy, team, VAT, and other business costs we have to cover. Although not cheap, we do feel we offer value for money taking all of this into consideration. Great food shame we were the only table dining so no real atmosphere

25 minutes from sitting down to being offered water. Food marginally a notch up from a Gatwick airport Wetherspoons but at twice the price. Kids from a private party at the back allowed to run around the eating area barging onto our table and knocking wine over for 45 minutes (it was 9pm)

Hi Ignatios. Many thanks indeed for taking the time to review us, I'm sorry your visit didn't live up to expectations. Unfortunately very little of the CCTV corroborates your account. The drinks order was taken after 12 minute, admittedly longer than usual, but as you had arrived early for your visit we were still busy with other tables. No drinks were spilt, and the table with the children on left at 8.15. Of course we don't get things right all the time, and I'm sorry you didn't feel the food was up to standard, but deliberately misleading reviews can be harmful to the business, so it's a shame you felt compelled to write one. Lovely pub with a beautiful views of the Thames, making one enamoured of London once again. High quality pub scran, ideal for a pre-match sitting with pints.

Super service and lovely meals (the chorizo in the fish dish was very overcooked) but everything else tasted lovely. Spoiled by the fact that a staff member had parked her car in the middle blocking everyone in, so could get my car out of the car park and spent ages asking everyone if it was their car. Very inconsiderate.

Initial greeting was a bit offhand, but service thereafter was fantastic and food was really impressive with a good variety of veg included and well seasoned gravy/sauce. Roast portions were very large - we were glad we didnt order starters. We felt it was good value. We would definitely return.

Excellent service from Mark. A lively and friendly atmosphere. Plenty of room on our table in the bar area. Really good quality cheese and bacon burger and not overly expensive. Good reports from others for the flat iron steak and the sea bass. Great selection of beers and other drinks. A proper community pub with a prime spot on the river. Highly recommended.
