    Perfect experience, food was delicious, service was impeccable! Would highly recommend this! Especially for Sunday roast!

    Excellent Sunday roast , unlimited pigs in blankets a nice touch. Great serving staff, all super efficient, friendly and welcoming.

    Fish and chips were really good. Pork cheek tasty but served cold. The mussels were pretty awful. They were served lukewarm. A quarter of them hadn’t opened and were therefore inedible the rest, mushy and stringy. The bread basket crackers were stale. All in all not a great experience although the service and staff were vey good. I’d expect better from a Michelin Bib Gourmand.

    A lovely local pub with excellent food for us all. 8 and 6 year olds loved the Skate wing and mussels and the trout wellington was excellent. Our 8 year old commented ‘the staff are super friendly and always replace my mussel shell bowl - I like it here.’ A seal of approval by the boss!! Thanks.

    All of the team working on the morning of 15th February 2025 were delightful, polite and attentive. We could not have asked for better service. Food was delicious and delivered promptly. Atmosphere lovely (except one child having a meltdown which was managed admirably by the parents). Thanks to everyone who served us and cooked for us.

    Really excellent food and the service was also excellent. Not always coming over but quick efficient service. We chose two different fish dishes for the main and they were wonderful. The dessert is also excellent especially the sticky toffee pudding a definite for all dessert lovers!! Overall an excellent evening with good food in really nice surroundings will be visiting again.

    Half an hour from home, and definitely a favourite. Food always creative and very well cooked. Triple cooked chips superb!
