   This was a lovely choice. The historic building was decorated with modern art, dimmed lighting and safe candles, which created a very warm and comfortable setting. The menu in the restaurant included some changes/specials from the menu we had previewed online. We splurged on all five courses and greatly enjoyed everything we tried!

   The baked oyster appetizer was exceptional--the oysters were just right, plump juicy, while the herbal crumb crust was crisp. I wondered how the chef's did it! My pork chop was wonderful--much more flavorful, juicy, and tender than I've ever had--and the collards, bread pudding, and touch of apply sauce were perfect accompaniments. Our waiter (whose name I don't remember) recommended it. She attributed the quality of the pork chop to brining and using locally raised meat, and I'll add to that being cooked perfectly!

   Excellent meal and service!! Each of our three main dishes were innovative and delicious! Yummy desserts, too!

   The dining experience was wonderful. From the staff, food & atmosphere. We got a last minute reservation after our tour of Charlottesville. This was a great experience. Salmon was amazing. Diverse wine selection. A must visit when in the area.

   Everything was amazing! The food was on point delicious - rack of lamb & beef tenderloin. The coconut cake was light, flavorful and perfect to share. Ricky C. our waiter was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, provided a few great recommendations. Would definitely visit again.

   We ordered a Rack of Lamb and salmon for our meal - both were outstanding. The next time we visit Charlottesville The Ivy Inn will see us again.

   Our first time visiting. It was very delicious. Lots of creative cocktails and nice wine menu. We had the tuna crudo, gnocchi bolognese, rack of lamp and horseradish potatoes. All amazing! Theresa was an excellent server.

    It’s over an hour’s drive but more than worth the time. It was a delightful evening—service and food exceptional in a beautiful, historic setting. Thank you for showing my husband a special birthday evening!
