   Sin duda el mejor restaurante de north park y uno de los restaurantes casuales más importantes de San Diego. Buenísima la comida. El pato excepcional

   Teníamos la Reservación a las 7:00 pm llegamos en tiempo mas nos tomo estacionar el Auto 20 Min, no cuentan con Valet Parking ni hay un estacionamiento cerca, el primer platillo llego a la mesa a las 9:00 pm pésimo servicio, los meseros no sabían que pasaba, el Gerente ni se apareció por la mesa, la comida estaba bastante regular sin sabor y la Carne Dura, los precios muy altos para lo que ofrecen NO VOLVERE NI LO RECOMENDARE, Un dato importante te piden tarjeta por adelantado cobrando 25.00 dólares para poder aceptar la reservación Muy mala decision

   A disappointment for the hype of the chef's CV. Service was spot on with the right amount of attention! We started with the Baked Brie and it was more honey than Brie the toast was well cooked. i would have liked less honey. For my entree i had the Chicken mashed potatoes, vegetables, herbed jus. The entree was inconsistent take the chicken parts of it was wonderfully moist and tender and there were other parts were rubberier. Same with the vegetables as an example the carrots were beautifully tender and others were hard as rocks. the mash potatoes were more mush than mashed. The jus was lumpy... The finish was the flourless chocolate cake - that was exquisitely decident Again this is what i would expect at a mid-level restaurant - Like i said at the start a disappointment.

   The food here was sooooooooo good!!! I brought my niece for a pre theatre meal (it's only a ten minute drive from San Diego Civic Theatre). We got there when they opened and we were pretty much alone for a while, which was just fine with us. FOOD: We had the mussels with cream sauce for a starter and it was AMAZING. They were large mussels and there were plenty for the two of us to share. This could totally be an entree too. My niece had the scallops with the risotto and I had the duck a la orange. Both of our entrees were delicious and quite filling without being heavy. She had the flourless cake for dessert. I tasted it and it was such a great treat. This is a higher end spot, but they did not skimp on the portions for which we were exceedingly grateful. AMBIANCE: What a great little spot. The decor felt like a mix of industrial and rustic chic. It's small but well situated. I imagine sitting on the patio would be really great. It feels cozy and intimate. SERVICE: EXCELLENT SERVICE. We were greeted when we came in and thanked when we left. We were well taken care of and once the restaurant started to fill , our server continued to check on us. I will be back to the Smoking Goat. I love to find hidden gems that really deliver on food, service, ambiance and so much more!

   We went to The Smoking Goat to celebrate my husband's birthday, and the staff and food were all amazing. The people couldn't have been kinder to us, and the food was out of this world. You must try the French onion soup - the broth was heavenly. The escargot were the best we've had in years. The duck and the scallops were so much tastier than our usual French restaurant in La Jolla. For dessert, you must get the griddled banana bread with bananas foster - wow. That was really something special. We hope to go back soon with friends, so we can try everything on the menu!

    I have been to this restaurant four or five times and always had a wonderful experience and usually the food is superior! However, last night with a table of seven and celebrating my son‘s birthday while he was visiting in town from Baltimore I was very excited to take him and enjoy the restaurant, however Our server was extremely lacking in her skills and left us at times, wondering where she went even considering she was off of duty at times bar service on a very uncrowded Tuesday night was extremely slow and we had to send back our steak and pork chops to be refilled, which I find to be Unacceptable in a restaurant of the standard. No one checked to see how our meals were until after we sent back our food, directions of Keaton, blue cheese off of our salads were not followed, and at the end of the evening we just left, wondering who to pay because no one ever came back Ended up flagging down a gentleman just walking through the restaurant.
